12-14 year old destiny players.
Hello I am 14 year old pretty hardcore destiny player I like to think I know quite a lot about the raids and nightfalls BUT! as soon as I join the party and they hear me (I am not a squeaker but you can tell I'm a kid) they automatically assume I am bad. Seriously I'm not bragging but I'm probably more experienced then them. What do you guys think ( adults or kids )

Now Im in a clan where everyone is chill and we all get along well together. Your age doesnt even matter as long as you a mature and give respect to people if you want to be respected.

I have this kid in my friends list who sounds like he's 10, but he has self control and maturity, something that even some adults lack. If you could be those 2 things, and someone kicks you, you would have been better off in another group anyways.

I should very mature as a 13 year old. Never had that problem even when I tell them I'm 13

I'm 15 and usually just stay quit on the mic when I play with randoms. Usually helps and then they respect what I say more. [spoiler]i apparently have a lower voice so that helps too. Just try to be good and people will respect you. [/spoiler]

However, I act mature(not loud and nice to everyone) I have another friend that I don't mind but to other people he can get annoying because he gets loud and screams a lot. Usually that results in him getting kicked or muted if we are in a party. It's all about how you act. Plus if you are on ps4 join our clan, DemiZe of the Darkness. It's a clan with people of whatever age that can act mature while gaming.

I played with a youngster earlier today he asked for crucible and proceeded to mop...it was nice...also I made a post about being nice to the kids earlier today..."mean people suck"

Unfortunately you're being judged as "bad" because of the many kids your age who shout, swear and troll people as much as possible.......I'm not saying you're like that by the way.

Played with kids before. Usually they're ok on their own but if they are with friends they are annoying as fuk. They seem to feel like they have to always talk (about sh*t usually) and show off by always talking. their skills are usually also ok but it's the attitude / immaturity i have a problem with. Not to generalise to all kids here but from my experience that's how it goes.

1 ReplyLook her kid I'm 22 years old and I can honestly say my gaming reflexes compared to my 12 year self aren't up to par. Years of playing strained my eyes, I don't have energy like I did when I was younger, and even though I enjoy playing games I'll never match the excitement of being a kid who just got that new icebreaker or gjallarhorn. Don't let us grown ups ruin the game for you

I've played with randoms before that where young and they where good players. Age has noting to do with skill.

But this isn't only directed at the younger crowd. I've played with plenty of 'adults' just as immature, shouty and annoying as most kids.[spoiler]also I am friends with some 12-14yr Olds who are much more helpful in strikes and raids. It's all a matter of how you speak for yourself.[/spoiler]

I am 13. I joined a group 4 nightfall once. They asked how old i was. I Said 13. They turned happy because they asumed i had good reactions cause of my age

As an older gamer, I really appreciate playing with those more my age. It also seems like it's these kids making these immature retorts when someone brings up issues with Destiny.

1 ReplyI'm 13 and have never been kicked from a raid group because of my age, as long as you act mature and are a good player they don't really care about your age, and usually by the end of the raid I've made friends with 1 or 2 of the people I'm raiding with

I'm not gonna say my age but I was playing with my friends when I got an invite (I'm lvl 31) crota i got excited cause i got the ship the helmet and swordbraker i was like wow cool I got all of those an the guys were like uuuuummm we were playing with a squeaker the whole time no no man it's fake and I'm thinking wow u suck and I'm better than u and I'm a kid sssoooo hhhhaaa

The gaming world maybe a lot bigger now but gamers are always having to defend against people who don't approve of gaming and blame things like school shootings and kids who are violent on the gaming community. You are of course free to play games but games rated for your age. Your parents should be doing a better job of paying attention to what games you play.
