Starfire Protocol: A Warning
A warning for people buying it
wtf Bungie. "Carry an additional fusion grenade" mixed with sun singer perk "carry additional grenade" means I should get 3 -blam!-ing grenades. 1 natural, 1 from class and 1 from armor. 1+1+1=3, not -blam!-ing 2. Waste of time leveling it up.

Use this with the Angel of light perk, 2 grenades and being able to have accuracy while jumping in PVE is awesome.

yeah it's bad, it should be changed to 'this armor grants gift of the sun' since fusion grenades already kill

2 RepliesIt's suppose to work like other armor pieces that free up a skill tree slot. Not break the game. It means you can pick the grenade ignite option or the hover in mid air option while keeping two grenades.

This chest is useful if you use your super only as a revive. Having an extra nade and a lot of intellect are pretty good. If you use radiance with the extra armor perk and use radiance as a weapon, then Praxic is much better.

5 RepliesStill not sure if I should buy this. I use void walker for pvp, but sunsinger for pve. And coins are not too easy to get for me because I hardly ever do the weeklys, as I have nobody to help me.

It allows you to use 2 grenades so you can use a different perk from your class tree. I like the idea, depends on which grenades you prefer i suppose.

Dumb post needs to go to dumb category... Don't buy the exotic if you have no idea how to use the sunsinger class... Starfire protocol actually enables you of using a different perk than "double grenade" perk in sunsinger class... Since there is no such thing as 3 grenades...

Or you could say it frees up a slot to ignite or floaty shoot as well! It also says carry additional heavy ammo so combined with any raid boots that should be 9 rockets in total! I used an ammo pack and it did indeed max out at 9 but picking up it wont pass 8! Anyone noticed the same thing??

It is a bit of a kick in the balls, but it frees up a subclass slot so you could use Angel of Light etc. Plus fusion grenades are (in my opinion) the best sunsinger grenades so i don't mind that it only works for those! Ive wanted this exotic ever since i read about it before TDB was released and honestly im just glad xûr is selling something new that isnt a repeat (even if he is selling my beloved Dragon's Breath) ;)
