The possiblity of some secrets on the raid Is taking me to insanity. Just remembered that God of War 3 (another game based on mythology, like destiny) had a puzzle in one of the paints. I might went to far but I´m bored at work so lets go:
The sounds that the oracles do when spanw they are based in on scale:
http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2liu8h/the_oracles_hymn/
The notes of the scale are in correlation with each oracle in each wave:
1 - C F G
2 - D A B
3 - E B A G F
4 - C G A E D
5 - D B A F G E C
6 - E A D G C F B
7 - B G E A D F E G C
We can try to find a cypher for that! This might say something. IDK I used Ceaser Cypher and got nothing. We can try using other types of cypher and we can use as key "bungie" or "kabr" or something with "7" in it
Edit#1 - Scale used is G Lydian B7 (danm number 7)
Edit#2 - Used Vigenere and Disk cypher! Nothing yet! And tks for all your likes and post here. Lets try to find as much as possible about it (hope we can find something)!

1 ReplySo, and maybe this is just coincidence but I don't think Bungie plays like that, to spawn the IWHBYD skull in Halo 3 you had to jump through the holographic rings in a certain order. It was later discovered that this wasn't a random order Bungie had picked. Each ring corresponded to a note in a scale, and when those notes were played in the order of the jumping ring sequence, it formed the seven notes of the Halo theme. I'm going to scour the game because I haven't looked for it before but does destiny have an iconic seven note theme? Or are these oracle notes similar in any fashion to a destiny song? Or somewhere else in the raid? I know that when you open the door to the vault without letting the minotaurs take any of the sync plates, it plays a seven or eight note song. Maybe it does this even if you let them take the plates, I don't know. I've only noticed it when you open the spire flawlessly. Thoughts?

Edited by NSkimN8r: 12/3/2014 8:47:14 PMThe Oracles are singing in the orbit screen, are these the same notes? The Oracles at the Templar are all on the ground. Is there a way to activate an oracle's sound by walking through it (or drinking them like Kabr)? I theorize you could activate them by walking through them in the order of the orbit screen music. 2 RepliesI think the purpose of each Oracle corresponding with a note has more to do with knowing which Oracle is up than anything else. If you always play the same side in the oricles section you will know which Oracle to hit based on the note that is played. It's possible Bungie has hidden some code in the notes being played, but I have a feeling it's based more on game design and knowing where the oricles are based on audio cues.

5 RepliesWouldnt the pre oracle, oracles spawn order be the cypher? I feel if there is an answer there it wont come without the pre oracle section -1 give the notes for this, its assumed they show the positions but its far more likely they show the order who the hell cant see a glowing ball of butter.

This post really has me thinking. An earlier comment mentions something like this. What if u need all raid set gear along with class item and weapon(voc/mytho) equipped and be looking through its scope to see something you wouldn't be able to see otherwise. Gonna run raid tomorrow like this and see if I don't notice anything different at all. Gonna have full raid weapons too just to cover the bases. So no exotics on this run for me. (Besides mytho)

2 RepliesLol, you wish you could find meaning in this game.

4 RepliesThank you for your hard work. I've been waiting for someone better than me to work on this. I KNOW it plays a role. The sounds wouldn't be different if not for some reason. Very much reminds me of the IWB... Skull in halo.

Any update?

1 Reply1 - C F G 2 - D A B 3 - E B A G F 4 - C G A E D 5 - D B A F G E C 6 - E A D G C F B 7 - B G E A D F E G C We should try to kill them in their original spawn order. It shows us the order for a reason. 2 options: 1. Kill them in order of their spawn. (On each wave) 2. Kill them in musical scale order, from lowest note to highest. (initial sequence) Did anyone try putting all the notes together, in order, in a musical sequence? Perhaps it plays a melody of some kind? I am going to try this and see if it makes a recognizable melody.

3 RepliesSo the order listed is the order they appear in correct? That does not mean they have to be taken out in that order. I am surprised the spawn order is not random like everything else in destiny... Can anyone take the destiny theme song or music in the vault and translate it to the same scale? Then rearange each wave to see if there is a match? Maybe you have to skip around instead of killing on sight. How much time do we have before getting marked? Good work, I will be checking in on this thread frequently!

6 RepliesAs a warlock I ressurect this thread! So I am working out a theory to try but I need more data to take my theory any farther before trying it. I am hoping some of you fellow gaurdians could give some input. This is what I need to know. 1. how long does it take to get marked after an oracle spawns? 2. how long between each oracle spawn? 3. how many cleanses can be done in the pool of light? I have heard 3, is that per gaurdian or 3 in total? 4. Can the whole fireteam jump in the pool at the same time and only count as 1 cleanse? I will hopefully be able to get these answer myself but any helpful input would be appreciated.

10 RepliesI LIKE THIS POST YOU MIGHT BE ONTO SOMETHING MAYBE THERE IS AN ORDER TO WHICH WE KILL ORACLES

I'd like to see if it really does mean something.

Has anyone noticed the 2 'caged' rooms on the way down to the first chest before Templar, and also...the walkway and the stairs leading up to Atheon, the big triangle on the door. There are some lights to the left and right on the way up. Most of the time these are red...but I've been in fire teams before when they are all blue? Must mean something.....community needs to put there heads together and come up with some theories to try, definately onto something :)

1 ReplyReally cool post, I look forward to investigating into this. One thing I have seen to add to this is the chime that is heard after 'perfectly' opening the vault door, that is, not losing any plates. Im curious to see if the tones match up at all. Again, good post

1 ReplyAwesome, awesome post. Keep up the search!

Try destiny for a key as well... 7 letter word after all :)

2 Repliesthere are 7 horns in the destiny opening music (link below), but it could be on a different key/scale. try "playing the oracles" in their musical scale in the same order that the 7 horns from the opening theme are played in their scale. essentially, kill the oracles in the order that would be a different key of the opening theme music. opening theme - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRKfd5EKBtI#t=12s

when the oracles first spawn to show their locations they spawn from lowest pitch to highest. it's a possibility you have kill them from lowest to highest each wave for a special trigger. Could be something, could be nothing. Never tried it. I'd like to think if there are clues they are in the game though. Like someone else on here mentioned, maybe you have to take a particular path through the entire raid like getting to bowser in mario. There seem to be alot of visual cues that lead you to the chests and stuff

3 RepliesTook a quick listen to the tones. All the tones make up the C lydian b7 scale the notes are C D E F# G A Bb numerically the scale is 1 2 3 #4 5 6 b7 The parent scale for lydian b7 is G melodic minor. So the C Lydian b7 scale starts on the 4th scale degree of G Melodic minor. I now this sounds anal but i think people who want to look into the tones should have the correct info.

1 ReplyEdited by PiRaNhA BE: 11/14/2014 10:47:06 AMI've seen this being thrown around for a while now. But these are only the Templar Oracles right? So what about the Oracles at Atheon? Maybe they can complete whatever is missing in this puzzle? Also, there are other audio cues in the raid that may be of help. The Spire audio cue, several Templar audio cues, etc. etc. Lastly, when you listen carefully to the Oracle Hymn on Soundcloud, the first three notes are unmistakeably those of the background music in the Tower. It could be just that you know...
-
Good idea mate but there's no hidden message in the notes. They've specifically chosen to use a heptatonic (7) scale but apart from that there's nothing else
-
420-420+69=69 so if you decode this in latin and t-bag the ground seven times youll find out that the code is CHEESE!!

2 RepliesI wonder if bungie put as much thought and depth into the raid as the community does...
