Several disconnects in a short span on Nov 4th

Hi there, I thought I would just 'file a report' so to speak on some of the problems I ran in to last night. I started off in pretty good standing. I managed to join a group of friends and actually complete the Nightfall with them. Granted I joined when they were at the boss, but still, got it done. After that, we tried to the weekly, I disconnected 3-4 times. 3 Times with Bee error, and 1 with Lion. Despite the exact amount of disconnects I recall the Lion error code happening once. Eventually I could get back in there and we completed the Weekly. After we went to Tower, then to Moon for Patrols. Once on the Moon, I disconnected 4-5 times in short succession. Each time I could log back in to the level with my friends, I would be booted shortly after. Most errors were Bee, though I did get one new one being Quail. This happened between 6pm- 8pm Pacific Standard Time. I know that Bee error is related to Wifi, and unfortunately there is little I can do with regarding resetting it since I rent and the box is in the landlords place. But I don't have such severe connectivity issues with my other devices, or using other things on the PS3. Ever since the last patch to 'fix' Atheon, the connectivity for me has been dodgey. Stability has taken a real hit. I fear that if it isn't resolved that I may never get a chance to do a Raid, for fear of disconnecting and never being able to return, or make my team of misfits (because I don't have 6 friends that play Destiny) that I abandoned them. While I'm annoyed, I hope something is done to help us guys out in the future regarding this issue. I know you are busy and hard at work, but with the game getting a bit repetitive and stale now, I may have to just let it sit for some time before picking it back up again. Maybe you'll sort out a lot of the issues by then. I will continue for the short term to 'try' and play though. Gameplay is tight, and shooting things is fun. But if I can't play, then I will just move on to something else.

  • Hey Bauzer, I'm sorry for the repeated BEE (+others) errors you were seeing yesterday. It is true that a wireless connection can contribute to these issues, but I know that changing a network setup isn't always feasible. Some things you can try would be to shut off any other Wifi or internet devices while playing to improve your connection. Smart phones, computers, tablets, even other consoles or some tv's may be using the wireless. Thank you for sharing this experience, I will make sure to pass it along to the right people. We’re always monitoring and improving our network services to keep Destiny up and running for as many players as possible.

    • Ya, I'm in Canada as well so I don't even use Comcast. thanks for the note Thren. Glad I'm not the only one around the playground with these issues. I'm sure Wifi issues are low on the connectivity totem pole.

    • Same issue here in my PS3. Aparently they are aware of the issue but seems they are ignoring the fact that their "fix" (i.e. call our ISPs & have them open all ports to Destiny's servers), isn't working for everyone. They kept copying and pasting a message for us to do that for Comcast customers... ugh... Its not my ISP's problem cuz we've tried that! (#-_-)
