EXOTIC ARMOR: Wearing more than 1 piece at a time
I posted this same topic the other day and I might just post everyday until hopefully this can get changed. I just think it's stupid we can only equip ONE piece of exotic armor at a time. What the HECK is the point of earning such awesome looking armor? I have to make a decision which one of the awesome pieces to wear....one at a time? If we earn, battle, and slave to find, buy, or whatever these sweet beautiful pieces of armor....we should be able to utilize them. And IF, Bungie, you guys are worried about all the perks being abused with the exotic armors, then just create a simple cancellation system where whichever piece is selected first is the armor that the perks will be used. Or have a manual selector available to pick which piece of armor we would like to use for it's abilities. But not to able to wear my crest of alpha lupi or armamentarium and helm of the inmost or what if I get the skullfort!!? I wanna be able to wear it all!!!! Everything else is perfect in the game. I'm not complaining about anything else. And since exotic weapons aren't the "only answer to the question" we probably should be able to equip whatever weapons we have. That just makes people want to step up their game and play more, level up, get exotics and get to that level to compete against it. Isn't that what Destiny is all about? Becoming a beast? A Legend?

1 ReplyI was expecting some sort of exotic addition like this for the DLC while I would perfer two weapons guess to each their own. I have a lot of exotic weapons and armor. Rarely do I say I want more armor.

2 RepliesWhen I think about it, the exotic armour pieces aren't nearly as OP as many people like to think they might be. Realistically, they only give 1 special perk that legendary pieces don't have, and most of these exotic perks are highly situational, with many only affecting a single ability for a specific sub-class. Being able to stack up a couple or so of these exotic perks would be nice, and not game breaking. For the sake of explanation, listing some of the special perks shows what I mean. Helm of Inmost Light: perks up Fist of Havoc (Striker Titan only). Helm of Saint 14: Blind enemies inside Ward of Dawn (Def Titan). No Backup Plans: Increase duration of Force Barrier (Def Titan). Wings (DLC gloves): Find heavy ammo more often. Armamentarium: Carry an extra grenade. Crest of Alpha Lupi: Revive and be revived faster. Hunter and Warlock exotic perks are laid out in a similar manner, I'm most familiar with Titan gear as it's what I play most. Some people are perfectly happy grinding the raids for raid gear and wear no exotics as they feel they "earned" that raid gear from the RNGesus, which is fine. Others enjoy their exotic pieces, "earned" from the RNGesus through any number of means (Nightfall, Strikes, Crucible, Xur). Personally I would love to be able to wear more than one exotic piece, but I'm not holding my breath for Bungie to make a change like this.

I love the idea. Only one piece for crucible though. But they would have to edit the light levels you obtain.

1 ReplyI think the reason we aren't allowed to equip more than one exotic piece is to keep legendaries relevant. I agree that it would be great to wear multiple pieces though, at least in PvE. I don't see any need to cancel out the perks on one of the pieces.

2 RepliesAt least in pve you should be able to wear full exotic but not allowed into crucible unless you remove all but one piece. But it would be fun to have a game mode in pve for full exotic weapons and armor. Please bungie!

I'd at least like to have it for PvE, I don't care too much for PvP in this game..I still need to do the level 30 raid on hard for more weapon chances and raid gear.

I'd be happy to be able to use all exotic weapons. Personally, I don't care about being able to wear multiple pieces of exotic amor, but that's because I have full raid gear. However, raid gear doesn't necessarily give any PvP perks, considering the upgrades are typically regarding killing Vex. So in that sense I totally understand limiting the use of exotic armor in PvP, just let me use the weapons I know and love.

6 RepliesThey need to make an exotic only PvP playlist, so all the elites can battle it out with their best gear on. You should be able to join in as long as you have at least one piece of exotic equipped. Sure you'll probably get your @ss handed to you by others in FULL exotic gear, but it will make people work harder and appreciate getting more exotics, plus give us something to work for with a purpose, and give us something to strategize about what pieces to wear depending on gamemode. I think it would be cool and I doubt too many ppl would be complaining too much that they only have Like two pieces of gear to be able to join the exo only playlists, and no one would complain about the playlist in general as all that work getting exotics, be it through rng,bounties,or grinding for strange coins to buy them would serve a (satisfying) purpose :) jus'sayin'

I think they do that to make sure the players in pvp aren't super overpowered cause if their gear, but I'm not sure.

1 ReplyI think if you earned it you should be able to use it. But that'll allow people to lvl 30 without having to go through that dreadful raid. So here's a solution once you get to 30 by way of raid you should earn the right to equip all your exotics with all perks. It'll kinda make up for all the pain and suffering of the 20 runs through vog. As for weapons I can't think of any good reason for limiting us to one equipped at a time.

1 ReplyI agree, but if I could I'd have everything equipped being exotic, we become legends... What's more legendary than all exotic, all purple is cool but all gold would be better. Ply with future dlc maybe we'll have to have it that way to keep on level

3 RepliesNo thanks. People would be to op in terms of ability's an the elitest who have a ton of exotics would be like gods in any part of the game. BUT I do support having the ability to equip an exotic gun in each slot as you can o ly use 1 at a time as it is so why not allow us to have 3 equipped.

1 ReplyComing from what bungie said , they did this to get players to thing about there choices with exotics and add a sort of strategic element in the game when choosing your exotics. Sorry if a sound very negative but there probably not going to listen or change this aspect of the game. I would love if they did but they probably won't.
