That is what I am wondering as well. I can still buy X360 Ghost Edition but will the codes that come in it work on XB1 game ? Anyone have a for sure answer would be greatly appreciated.

Destiny is cross generation. Step 1. Redeem the codes via your GT or PSN on a last gen console. Step 2. Log in to your GT or PSN on a current gen console and your data should carry over. Bungie said that they have allowed back and forth generation jumping as a feature as they intend for this game to run in to next gen.

These little details allow for us to make the mistake to think it works one way, for now dont open the game without knowing for sure if the content will transfer over. Some say that with their COD-Ghost season pass was not transferable, but who is to really say now. We wont know right now, best is to wait, unless said otherwise However, I believe your method 100% and thats how i think it should work

You could sell the season pass on line for like 30 bucks take a 5$ hit and get the SP with that

selling something like that considering the big number of people getting these collectors edition will be difficult, plus the idea is that it will most likely carry on to the next gen

I would think so, I remember reading a post/article by DeeJ that says if you had a last gen you could switch all the destiny stuff over to the next gen, if it's in the same product line (xbox1-xbox360, ps3-ps4) and I think the codes should work. I don't see why not

Basically your character and all your equipment is stored on there servers so you can play on any version of destiny restricted to brand 360/x1 ps3/4 I personally played the beta on xbox 1 but the when the beta went public I downloaded it into my old 360 and my son and daughters 360 and we all played together, me keeping my character from the xbox 1 it was seamless. Unfortunately it's gonna cost me a fortune if I still want to play on the xbox1 and co-op with the kids 4 copies of destiny £150 plus quid ouuchhhhhh lol

I'm hoping bungie would consider the same system that Sony use sometimes called cross buy and just have the account holder the rights to a game regardless which gen it is would save me money. Even if it was like £10 to sucre the rights in both gens that would be a start as I am sure in the future when people upgrade from 360 to xbox 1 would they really want to fork out another £40 for a game they are already playing just for prettier graphics. Here's hoping

Try to go to ur nearest gamestop or ebgames theyll have the answer, thats what i did. Because if the two consoles share the same marketplace system it should jus carry over via account

Edited by Shaper: 9/8/2014 7:58:40 PMSo news jus released, if you get the ghost edition for ps3 they will give you a free expansion pass for the ps4, every other dlc is character related but you must redeem the season pass on the previous console to get the pass on the next gen thus only having to buy the next gen standard physical or digital game as extra cost this is only available until January tho so better get to it quick

you should hurry for all i kno this idea has been out there for awhile, so its still a limited time for this as well, its sold out at ebgames for me managed to get it at another retailer
