How long have you been using your current online alias?

How long have you been using your alias? Do you use the same alias for all your online accounts? Is there a significance behind your name, or did you just make it up on the spot? Zoltoyde was my first real online alias, created back when I first played Starcraft. I just strung some letters together to form a "pronounceable" name without much thought. Since then, for some reason, I have stayed true to the name for nearly all my online gaming. What about y'all?

Four years in July. And yes, I do. Before I created the Sangheili name I currently use, I was Spartan 296. But, since I got LIVE in about 2010, I have been Ktan Dantaktee on all the websites I use; and I don't plan on changing that.

  • I like to have a separate alias for separate mediums. On Xbox, I made Heavens Remors (was Heavens Remorse until I went live and the service said someone else had that). It was somewhere between 5-7 years ago. On steam I'm DavidJimmy. Which is a combination of my first and middle name. (Basically my nickname). On Battle.net I use Zalderick. I made that name up for my first character on Wow some 10 years ago. (If I met any of you on some other medium, then HI)

    • I've used my name for almost everything online since 2007. I used to use CarlosSpicyWeiner but I decided to change it. Lucario is my favorite pokemon and the F-14 Tomcat is one of my favorite aircraft.

    • This alias, well it derives from my first ever AOL email account from about 13 years ago.

        • I'v been using HALOSNIPER since a little bit before the 360 came out. I usually use it for virtually everything I have in some way, shape, or form. Sometimes I make it HALOSNIPER 343 or HALOSNIPER228 or simply just HALOSNIPER. This name derived from my skills with the sniper rifle in most games.
By the way, the 228 stands for double 117, well... Sorta. If you add one to every number in 117, it becomes 228. 343 derived not from 343 industries, but from the 343 guilty spark. I have had the 343 name reserved for my account since 05
• I've used Flying ViVo since 2009 I think. I started using it back in the Halo 3 days. Now I mostly use Lord of Narwhals or NaLo (short for Narwhal Lord because it sounds better than LoNa).

        • Since 2009 I have used the monstrosity that is know as X NOViiCE. My grade made a moronic group called the "X slaughter boys" when I got my 360. To make the group buttmad, I followed their gamertag rules using the X and the two 'i's. I have just stuck with it because I like how it sounds and can't think a name that really clicks with me.

        • Early 2009 roughly. No major significance to it, just from an old Discovery Channel commercial back in 2008.

Not terribly long. If I recall correctly, which I don't, it has only been a few months. 3, tops. But it may be less than that. I just remember being home from Uni, but either on spring recess or just on the weekend. Hard to say, but I was at my kitchen table with my brother. I sorta just made it up on the spot. It's the most brutal name I've given myself. Also, it's split 50/25/25 some things I use my name, some things I use my GT, some things I use my real name (Rip Thrötes).

^This one? About a year and a bit now. Only on here though <.< Normally I either use my GT for game forums or variations on Etogaur/Eto.
