I can’t believe no one at Bungie realized that the portal, in its current state, was a bad idea. The solution: bring back activities from past seasons and update the weapons from those activities with the new tier and difficult systems, like the coil, but make it only drop reworked tier weapons for that specific activitie. Speaking for myself, my friends, and my clan mates. We don’t care if it’s old content. Past seasonal activities are far better and more fun than the nonsense you’re giving us now. As for the playable content on the planetary map, almost the same solution. Just update the weapons and activities using the existing weapon tiers and difficulty systems, but while leaving the current planetary map content intact. Even if it's just a couple of raids and dungeons added with each major update, the system will naturally take shape over time as more raids and dungeons are introduced.
