Warlocks don’t really have many good options to boost melee damage besides Winter’s Guile and Spirit of Synthoceps (Prismatic). None of the subclasses have Aspects or anything that lets us really build around melee, especially with the changes coming to Glaive melee. Feels like Warlocks are kinda getting left out here.
I guess I should make this clear: the main concern is the change to Glaive melee. It's getting a significant nerf (40% against red bars, and 50% against bosses) to prevent Hunters and (especially) Titans from being able to stack insane melee damage boosts on them.
But this ultimately makes Glaives, at base, weaker than they currently are for Warlocks unless they're using Winter's Guile or Spirit of Synthoceps, since they have no Subclass abilities that boost your unpowered melee damage.
1 ReplyI quit running a glaive. The nerf to melee damage against red bars is just simply stupid. This was a good weapon I was already using for melee and strangely the “buff” has had the complete opposite effect which this weapon has no value unless you invest into melee energy.
