For the love of Xur make Glaives worthwhile
It would be great if we all raised our voices for the Bungie Barons to hear this cry of complaint, make Glaives, of any kind, worth using!” 😳. Its funny, I ran this weeks NF only to receive a Glaive. Has chill clip and something else, but it doesn’t matter because I have a max of 5 shots before empty and Glaives just….well, you know. Bungie Barons, either make them worth using or remove them. I promise to cherish them if they were not so underwhelming and bleech.😂

6 RepliesGlaives have strong defensive utility. The DR from guarding is something like 97%, and can be sustained for your entire reserves. They are a fun playstyle in anything under -20/25 power. I do wish they were able to create orbs from melee kills, through a mod or intrinsically. Hoping the rework coming next season does them justice, and allows them to play a more balanced role. Here a some build options for the melee aspect that are quite strong and fun. I use them in expert onslaught/activities. -Karnsteins on stasis warlock with winter bite. -Renewal Grasps with any Glaive, winter bite works best. -Icefall Mantle with any Glaive, winter bite works great. (I love winter bite LOL) -Wormgod on strand Titan for high damage and moderate sustain.

The rimestealer/chill clip glaive repeatedly saved my bacon in the co-op ascent mission tonight. There were only 2 of us, and freezing the chickens and subjugators while using the shield was super clutch while swapping the fracture. You can tank allsorts with the shield in high level content.

2 RepliesI actually highly enjoy using them, mainly for that freaking shield though it has saved me so many times I practically never take the glaive off now. Got the new stasis one with replenishing aegis and chill clip, gotta watch the reserves but essentially infinite slow rounds when done right.

Smh we got glaives which not many people seem to enjoy but Bungie completely ignored: -Battleaxes -Sword & Shield combo -Rapier -Dual-wielding Sidearms/Handcannons -Fist Weapons (Caestus, Knuckles, Claws, etc) -Reaper’s Scythe
