The most annoying part in the Coil are the spikes. The area of effect damage is just insanely too large. And the placement for these spikes are ridiculous to be and difficult to avoid.
Just getting near them is an almost instant death and Bungie needs to be aware of this.

1 ReplyI sincerely hope that the people who worked on designing this level are among those who got fired. It would mean hope for the game in general. Pure trash level.
-
1 ReplyAnd it was approved by Joe Blackburn because he doesn’t play and it’s revenge for negative comments about his poor design choices. Just proves the critics right. No more money from me. I don’t pay to be aggravated.
-
It's kinda fun in a sadistic way.

That s why they created guardians that can use an ability called......... Wait for it........ Jumping

10 RepliesThey are easily circumvented. There is one though, that bloody stupid one in one of the 1st areas, with the sliding platform right beside it. That one can go straight to hell, it gets me every time!!
-
12 RepliesYeah, whoever designed them deserves diarrhea. They aren't to bad to avoid on warlock or titan but they are incredibly annoying for hunter. Idk why, but lately bungie has been designing jumping puzzles that hunters can barely make and requires near perfect jumps or high agility.
-
It’s fun when your team loses half your revives on the very first set of spikes in the beginning.
-
1 ReplyJust another chickens**t way for Bungo to needlessly kill players. Trappy crap doesn't add anything worthwhile, just makes the game even more annoying, and easier to put down in favor of something else that's more fun.
-
1 ReplyIf it weren't for the fact that they are in some pretty tight spaces, it might not be so bad. As it stands now though it's just a pain in the -blam!- trying to avoid them and just ends up draining a lot of revives trying to move around the bloody things. Not giving me much of a positive opinion on Coils at all

I think the connection between host and other players is too much for them. When I do any of these solo I have zero problems, when I'm in a match made group, these things hit from a mile away.
-
Even a better when people push you into them.
-
As so often happens with this company, the idea is fine but the implementation is awful. The hitboxes are completely broken.

Edited by Lt_Cantoni: 12/1/2023 8:29:33 AMMimics chest got you?

Do you play on controller or MKB? I have an advanced movement technique that basically lets you avoid them 100% of the time but doing is different depending on your input.

1 ReplyIt makes me laugh… this game is set in the future, we use space magic yet some of the strongest weapons are swords, long sticks with a blade on it and spikes in a floor. Who knew the future would be so medieval?
-
They're such a blast to encounter and they don't miss a beat, there like, ( I know he's coming I can sense him I'll wait and then they throw up their hands saying tag your it), it's like a jump scare at times even when your not even close to them and they come up and you just fall off cause your paying more attention to them then how far you're from the edge of the platform. I do believe they are a good change in the game but how far away they can detect you should be dialed down a bit.
-
1 Replyits just really stupid that they go off seemingly randomly. Sometimes when you get close but not on them they go off and jumping over is rng if they go off or not. They need to be very clear about where they are going to go off if you step and not go off at all if you are jumping. The idea is fine for making people pay attention during the jumping/exploring sections but the inconsistency of them is pure laziness.

3 RepliesI think the only one I'd consider an issue is that very first one we see in the story. The one with the retractable platform to the right. That area is incredibly tight and you're likely to bounce off the rocks into the trap. But as for the other traps...they are easily avoided.

Edited by A_mo: 12/1/2023 5:16:52 AMThe player population looks fine for now.. Pvp players has better start playing the pvp.. hopefully it doesn't get ddossed for everbody running around foaming at the mouth. "The contengencies quickly came and said they'd have to shut us down because everybody was running around and foaming at mouth." After they punted control.

Almost lost my solo coil run to them. Lost 5 revives to spikes. Fortunately managed to beat the final boss. Took me an 1h and 15mins. Spikes are wildly annoying and the worst thing about the coil.
-
Ya, whoever things of tricky ways to insta-kill on some kind of booby trap needs a new job in the company. It’s too much gotcha. Very very annoying. Not even a challenge, just annoying.
-
1 ReplySkill issue.
-
Spikes need a buff. If you even remotely look in their direction they should kill you
-
yes, look at the design in WQ and what happened this year? we have something old Ctrl c Ctrl v, and small rooms with bosses and a bunch of mobs
-
The AOE needs to actually get buffed.

Just stop please
