Sherpa Emblem Should be Full Clears

I do like what has to be done to get the actual raid emblem, you need to complete all encounters. IMO, sherpa emblems should be the same. LFG is going crazy with "Crota CP sherpa, have 0 clears". This isn't teaching. Isn't sherpa a teacher? Plus those people won't learn OR get their emblem. It's just placing them on the "add-clear" or "put well here" role. I get that the emblem does say "CARRY 10 guardians", so I guess my idea of requirements is skewed. Personally, I'd rather earn the emblem by teaching a full run. I already have my "10 carries" emblem, but the groups I ran with were all full runs, because they wanted to learn mechanics, get the secret chests and red border weapon at the end. TLDR: Bungie, I absolutely love the design of the "Hope Eater" emblem, but please make sherpa emblems count full clears for 10 new people.

  • 100%. I always hate LFG right after a new Raid comes out, you get the people that expect you to know everything flawlessly and have 30+ clears already, while others who are only interested in doing the final boss with 0-clear people so they can get the emblem, with no interest whatsoever in helping them. It's nice that Bungie offers such rewards for Sherpa-ing, but the way they're implemented incentivises people to do as little as possible and that goes against the reason why the rewards exist in the first place.

    • This is like the most PvE player take I've heard recently. You're arguing that people don't learn raids/mechanics because the sherpas only carry people with 0 clears and never explain anything to them. How is that an issue? The person who has, in fact, not yet cleared the activity joined that LFG post knowing what they're getting into. If they genuinly wanted to learn the raid they would either look up guides or ASK THE LFG MEMBERS. You genuinly sound like you're jealous because these sherpas "only spam boss cps, without actually helping anyone" while you choose to run Full Clears out of pride or something. Completely confusing

    • Yes, sherpa should be a FULL run of every encounter and ALL the same fireteam.

      • The only genuine teacher I know is my friend who does daily runs of Garden to help people get div’s and clear the raid. She has over 500 full clears and I’m sure those sherpas she had genuinely have some understanding of that raid. The idea of a Sherpa emblem is pretty toxic unless it was a full clear. And even then, most “teachers” are awful and don’t let the people being taught do anything of significance. I want more content that requires the effort of all people to avoid wipe mechanics.

        • I agree, however some guys out there are absolute Gems. Played with a gentlemen named KamaSutra, man was an absolute saint. Taught the mechanics to everyone and had so much patience for everyone. Guiding people who didn’t understand buildcrafting, taking the time to explain what everything was. Wonderful.

            • I agreed. Since this has been this way for like forever I don’t think Bungie would do anything to chance it.
