Kills means nothing in zone control, if you got 100 kills and no zone defenses, you didn't help at all

I want the game to have objective game modes as much as anyone but of course shooting helps your team in a shooter. Dead guardians don't capture zones very effectively. The game would make more sense if it tied the objective & shooting in a more concrete way and recognized them both in a ordered priority.

You don't even need to defend a zone, cap zone an run, it takes a few sec to neutralize the zone an then cap you'll get a few points while there trying to neutralize especially if you already have 2 out of the 3 zones. You don't even need to kill to defend just shot in there general direction till you get the points from the zone an dip to a different one. You can lightly run around cap zone an not kill a single person an still win as long as your capping zones.

Were pretending that shooting doesnt matter while running around with a gun, whilst chasing new guns in a shooter. This is just marketing strategy to create a friendly on boarding experience and turn Iron Banner into a f2p advertisement to increase profit mid season.

Works great, until the enemy lets you have all 3 zones and just resorts to killing you. Or leaves like, 2 people to defend an objective. Control may be an objective game mode, but the best way to maintain control of the map is to remove the enemy from it.
