At this point Light Fall better be insanely good
Just swinging and missing with everything they release right now.

People will scream how amazing it is within the first couple of days, like Streamers did with Witch Queen, simply because they were starved for content for so long that ANYTHING would have looked like gold at that point. Witch Queen was great but look at the seasons that came as a part of it and rethink if it really was "that great". People get so happy the second actual content happens they don't realize when it took literally 17 months for it to even happen. 17 months till Witch Queen they should have had Witch Queen as it was, plus 3 seasons drowning in content. Instead we get an event that took 3 employees (1 artist and 2 coders) 2 shifts to make. 2 days to make 2.5 months of content.

If anyone has doubts don’t buy. But we all know when it drops most will be waiting in that queue to log in. Leading up to it bungie will hype and preorders will spike again (including those who wrote posts saying they cancelled). Hell doesn’t the next season start soon? 😏

Plot twist, it’ll never be good enough to meet or surpass your expectations. They had holloween, telesto, and eliksni quarter event this season on TOP OF their normal content. Sure, telesto and eliksni were not super engaging but they were still interesting ways to bridge a season. It’s not that I don’t also wish more was done with it, but I can appreciate that they took the extra time and effort to code it in. How big and engaging does an event have to be to warrant putting it in, In your opinion? Is it better to just not have the extra event at all? I think some people enjoyed it even though it seems to have let some of the community down. I also think that the eliksni event is a stepping stone to future story. Of how spider is STILL siphoning funds for himself and may be an adversary in the future but that is just my conspiracy theory. I just got into master raids last night and realized there is a huge piece of content I had been missing out on. I will definitely do more in the future. Take a look at the things you have not completed or are scared to attempt and try them. I hope it gets better for you. I hope the seasonal model changes as well so it isn’t so stagnant and similar each season. Use all the other content there is to supplement it.

Consider it will be about neon lights, fortnite + TMNT style and boss look like Megamind with chimney on its head... No, it will be bad. Yes, Bungie will do what they actually really good at - release awesome trailer, maybe there will be cool side quest for weapon and that's about it. Then we will get same stuff: seasonal activity for 6 with master difficulty, 2 new strikes, 2-3 new lost sectors, crafted weapons from VoG and Last Wish and seasonal story missions that will have very stupid and illogical.

If you've played witch queen or beyond light , you've played lightfall. They will not change any of the formulas or core gameplay loop. They have a minimum effort for maximum profit structure that will never change.

You know. At this point imma cancel my pre-order and wait for it to be on discount like a month later. Destiny 2 dlcs go on sale all the time, and honestly I'm kinda doubtful that it'll even be enjoyable this time around. Pretty sad tho, since it's a whole new subclass and that's usually balls to the wall hype. Then again, the hype around battlefield 2042 was there and we all saw what happened.

I'm confident in the campaign since I believe it's the same team behind Witchqueen. The rest of the content will most likely be hows it's been. I plan on just buying Lightfall Base at a discount due to my current issues with the game. I still like the game, but the season pass stuff isn't as entertaining to me anymore.

Will prob be very similar to WQ- good campaign, decent raid, fun exotics then seasonal content will all fall flat

Yeah shame on them for actually attempting to give you greedy -blam!- content even if it only receives hate. They’re giving off effort. It’s low effort, don’t get me wrong, I mean just look at “upgrades.” But at least they stretched out the content for those who actually wanted to play throughout the season. It’s a decent start, but they could easily fall two steps back.

Agreed. And it will be disappointing. The Destiny motto from Bungle is "Minimal Effort for Maximum Money" - they continually take the lion shares of the revenue and Talent they make off Destiny and plug it all into Matter.
