"WARNING! This account has a consistently unstable Internet connection that is affecting other players. If this continues, the account may be restricted from matchmaking against other players." Help?

Hello, I'm struggling to maintain a steady enough connection in Crucible and the rest of the game as of late. I am using a wired ethernet setup, but I live in an apartment complex and I think that my data my be getting lost because of that. I will regularly get disconnect issues with titles "beaver" and "bee." I also frequently get the "contacting Destiny 2 servers" pop up and it will stay there for up to an hour at a time. I have gone through the Bungie help support FAQ regarding network fixes, but the ones I have tried do not seem to be efficient at stopping the disconnects from happening. Most of the advice is contacting my ISP to test packet loss, but I don't think packet loss is preventable living in my apartment. When I play other games I do not seem to experience as many disconnects. Is there any advice someone could give me to correcting this? D2 is my main game I play, and I would hate to be banned for having connection issues.

  • There’s nothing Bungie can help you with here. Your connection is the issue. Your only option would be to limit or stop playing crucible until you have a more stable network to play on

  • Its hard to fix a connection issue in an apt depending on what unit you live in, when I was working with an isp ppl the farthest from the unit that brings in internet always had the slowest speed, we as techs cant do much, from a tech side you internet levels need to be with in a specific range to connect to that isps server, an ifbyou were the farthest from the unit that brings the internet to the whole building you get border line pass/fail levels cause there nothing we can do as tech unless the company puts in 2 units to bring internet to that building one on each side an most companies won't do that. You beat bet to to have a tech come out an make sure you have the correct cables no kinks in em or splits but honestly that depends on the tech cause all apt lines are ran throught the attic an not a lot of techs are willing to go in there
