if all weapons were cartable then any weapon that wasn't crafted is useless

Outside of a handful of weapons most the good weapons have been easily obtainable for even casuals. Tbh I’d argue the majority of craft able weapons are not even good. Most of the weapons I already have are better than what I could craft and I’m a casual low skilled player.

The whole "you have better guns than me" sounds so childish. For the record, I'm not calling anyone in particular childish. I just can't believe this idea ever got any traction. A skilled user with game sense will outclass "a better gun" 7days a week in PvE/p. The system is broken though. If a craftable weapon drops with a godroll, it still pales in comparison to the same crafted weapon with advanced perks. There are a few ways to make it better but the timeframe for major changes in this game I doubt will mesh with the lifespan. All guns could be craftable. World drops could come at X level, so you could level something you obtain in the wild. The red box system is silly, mindlessly grinding boring activities for weeks and drop rates should be adjusted. Just a few off top. At any rate getting a million redboxes of non-craftable guns to maybe 1 craftable Redbox feels bad.

Crafting still sucks, if I have a God roll Austringer that dropped, why do I need to craft one with a shitty roll and have no fun using it untill I can actually put decent perks on it , I'm just going to use the good one I got from RNG

I like the crafting system, I do think the leveling is a bit too slow, but for the most part it’s decent.

Crafting just makes weapons stale. Once the dominant PvP/PvE rolls have been established for craftable weapons then that is all you will see used. To me this makes drops meaningless and variety in weapons sparse if at all.

I don't think it's elitisim or anything. You can get red borders by opulent keys which seems to be fastest method, opening chests... Not doing anything else. Considering Bungie removed loot cave saying they didn't want players to avoid the game play to stand in front of cave to shoot endlessly for loot. This seems contradictary at best.
