Why can't we get a match if we disable crossplay?
-
They want to force you into the lag fest that is p2p cross play. It needs removed from pvp.
-
Bc Bungie made the default setting to CP on and said it was optional. It's just another Bungie manipulation. There will be more.
-
Other players need to also disable crossplay. That’s the only way you find a match

4 RepliesA lot of ppl don’t know about disabling cross play. Bungie put the option in there, but intentionally made the default with cross play on. It’s effectively a non choice with Bungie pushing cross play on everyone.

6 RepliesEdited by Mirage7853: 6/4/2022 5:35:22 PMTurning off crossplay only gets you others that have turned off crossplay. There’s no reason to anyway. You only get pc players when playing with other pc players. Console matches with console. A lot of the time the issues people blame on crossplay are actually just a skill thing too. Saw one guy saying pc cheaters earlier despite him being console and solo matching

The pool of players who play pvp at any given time is very small. Given that most players leave on cross platform by default just because they can't be bothered to open a menu, you're talking about maybe two or three other people in the entire world at any given time who you could matchmake with. This by the way is the primary argument against sbmm. There aren't enough players for it to work quickly and there was a time when players said they'd rather short matchmaking times than balanced gameplay, Bungie, by their own words, has since said that changing their matchmaking policy was a massive failure on their part but it appears that it is a failure that it is difficult to walk back. (Their paraphrased quote is "We removed skill based matchmaking because it is what the top PVP players and streamers wanted. That decision has directly resulted in PVP being in the worst state it has /ever/ been in.")

2 RepliesEdited by SARS-COV-2 B.1.617.2: 6/4/2022 7:15:33 PMThere are five different groups of players for Crossplay: PC players Xbox players w/ crossplay enabled Playstation players w/ crossplay enabled Xbox players w/o crossplay enabled Playstation players w/o crossplay enabled Since the majority of players have crossplay enabled, the pool of players on Xbox and Playstation with crossplay disabled is ridiculously small. Which means it will take forever for you to find a full team since you can only match with other players on your platform with crossplay disabled.

2 RepliesI think you’ll only match people who also have it turned off( where they could I guess just look for same platform players, instead they also have to have it switched off)
-
Because the people who play this are sus. I've posted multiple times to turn off crossplay to no avail.
-
13 RepliesBecause 99% of the playerbase does not disable crossplay.
-
7 RepliesBecause Bungie wants to punish you for not being cannon fodder for the streamers playing on PC.
-
17 RepliesBecause there are simply not enough people playing on any single platform, a fact wether bungie fans want to believe it or not,
Why can't we get a match if we disable crossplay?
To ‘encourage’ us to enable crossplay. 😉 -
2 RepliesBecause crossplay is not advanced enough to be able to say "this player wants only people on PC; so pair them with any PC player whether they want cross or not". It has to split them into 'no cross' and 'cross on' groups.
-
2 RepliesIf you disable cross play you’re only going to get matched with other players on your platform who have also disabled cross play. Since it is on by default most people don’t disable it, or even know how.
-
Because when you do that it can only match you with people who have also disabled it
