Fix solar warlock
Trying to heal teammates as a solar warlock feels less effective, I have some ideas on how to solve this issue
Step 1: make healing grenade a fragment instead of a grenade, this would make it much more viable while still allowing all classes to use them
Step 2: make the benevolent fragment closer to benevolent dawn by allowing it to trigger by any healing instead of specific solar keywords
I really hope you at least consider this because the healing portion of warlock feels really rough right now

It's really all about damage, or more specifically needing to be unkillable in certain encounters while dealing said damage which is not the same as a being dedicated healer. I mean, you can't even see your teammates health bars in the UI.

5 RepliesI'd like to know why Dawnblade has a 10min base cooldown when every other super is 9min at MOST. Dawnblade can't be extended anymore so why the -blam!- is it such a long cooldown? It's not that great. And plenty of other roaming supers beat it in PVP so why is it the longest CD?

Makes sense that healing nades are better off as a fragment (tho I would appreciate the option of having both on the table), not sure about step 2, but based on analyzing how people are responding to it regardless, it does feel like it needs a touch of a buff. Then again, perhaps because it only used to be a warlock thing, benevolent dawn was strong. This is the all classes version, more toned down. That said, I do feel a stronger version for warlocks only should be available, or like a native strength.

I really felt with well Warlock, Titan barrier and Hunter invisibility that you always had that team synergy in most activities. Now especially with the changes to Solar it really feels like every guardian for themselves. It certainly leans into solo play.

I've been maining solar warlock since I started playing the game in season of the splicer and right now I'm pretty happy with the changes overall. Mostly just having fun with sunbracers right now and haven't dipped into the healing aspects (foreshadowing) of the "new" subclass yet. I'm happy that they were able to combine the most important pieces of each subclass tree into one playstyle, but it feels like the only playstyle worth doing on warlock right now which is ok because it's a solid Jack of all Trades, but I'm also really starting to feel the Master of None portion of that saying. My brightest idea to help remedy this so far is to change the Heat Rises and Icarus Dash aspects into one new "Aerial Aspect". The cost for that buff would be to reduce the fragment slots down to 1 instead. Now what do we do with this free aspect slot, give a healing specialization aspect that does healing stuff like bigger aoe for the class abilities or something. This way solar warlocks can pick 2 from their choice of: aerial efficiency, healing potential, or more potent grenades. One more thing, the phoenix dive needs a bit of tuning and needs either a reduction in recharge time, or to be more potent, and you shouldn't lose the class ability charge if you die before you even start doing the dive animation.

6 RepliesHealing? F that, I want to blow enemies up! Why would bungie remove bottom tree solar explosions? Bottom tree was perfect before solar 3.0, all it needed was celestial fire to reach perfection. Now I cant chain kills anymore and I cant even extend my super per kill, im extremely disappointed.

3 RepliesHopefully when the fix the benevolent fragment it will work more like benevolent dawn. Healing as a warlock is pretty useless at the mo.Tried a few different set ups but all were very underwhelming. Only thing I like about 3.0 is the melee while running winters guile.Is very enjoyable to snap your fingers and take out a group of enemies!

All I know is that all these people cried and moaned about hunter invisibility even though it’s arguably worse than it has ever been, and now many of those same people are crying that Warlock solar 3.0 sucks. I don’t have a point, and I don’t care about the solar changes or the current plight of the warlocks. I just wanted to troll a post and this seemed as good a post as any lol.
