Stop with the weekly rotations for important parts of the game
Why would you put the anchors and the chests behind a weekly rotation?? I specifically let the weeks build up to do all those quests and now I'm behind.
I had no idea they were on a weekly rotation.

9 RepliesYeah, I agree. By the time we reach end of season, I still can't complete the ones I missed cuz some activities are stuck in weekly rotation. And I have a life, I can't sit on my -blam!- all day unlike some players who are a no-lifer. Btw, in addition, plz bring back Don't Touch Me! XD

12 RepliesIt’s probably because in D1 we plowed through said content in two weeks then half of those came to the forums complaining about having nothing to do. So now the other half is complaining about content being drip fed. It’s a vicious cycle of never ending complaints from either one side or the other.

I think they always do a weekly rotation and just keep it active for a long time. It's not that big a deal and forces me to take breaks so I don't burn out.

You have an entire week to do the cycle that's available to you. It's your own fault for not doing them.

Well see me like you decided that instead of taking 30 minutes of your time doing these you decided to do something else.... How is it bungie fault you decided to neglect story mission...by now you should know it's weekly locked.....

I'd say keep it but also add a bit more for folks who don't have a lot of time. Stuff that say, on a 2 day 16 hour binge could be completed for our character. Seems like a lot of very important bits about D2 are about logging in and doing challenges once a week. Pinnacles themselves are so few for me since I don't play raids with randoms, I do everything else and never get the most out of my P's since I don't bother with calculators etc. I'd love to do GMs but aside from not having a steady 3rd to play with - I can't ever keep up enough to reach cap. Here we are again, I'm 1323 and about to probably have to put the game down a bit - which means when I come back in 1-2 months from real life - I will just be sitting out the season. Again. I feel like I'm just pretending to play at this point. Logging in once a week to be sure I go to all these obscure places and find these hidden little bits of trash is not fun for me, and the 2 times I tried it I missed a rotation - on Europa I straight went and scanned the wrong drones and "whoops" set myself back from the title by 4 weeks or something. Maybe I'm wrong about some of this but thanks to Bungie and this design - there is no chat in the game that anyone uses so I can't meet anyone, and LFG seems to only apply to people who "want help with something". Sorry I'm not here to make others feel like they are "helping" people by "helping" me play a video game. sorry rant but Bungie has time to declare characters "gay" then they have time to design more for the players to do in this game.

52 RepliesSo let me get this straightened out.......... 7 days in a week and you can't do anything in 1 of those days? Things have been drip fed on a weekly basis for 2 years.......this isn't new. We're in a 6 month season now to boot.........you'll be fine.

It seems to be a standard 4 week rotation… Perhaps a catch up scenario after the intended content is finished would be nice.. and could happen. But the way these unfold I have no issue with. It is the price of admission for the show. It is literally 20 minutes of time max each week. Season is till February. I think you will be fine with getting caught up.

I think it's to gate specific secrets until we unlock certain upgrades. Next week we get the final set of mcguffins to go find in the dreaming city. Which will let us enter the vault to see the new exotic weapon. I imagine some quest steps in it will require us to go the shattered realm forest and use our new perks to find specific mysteries. Or maybe Bungie is just being a bunch of dicks. Either is equally possible.

Personally, I enjoy it. I completely understand your issue/gripe, but I like how they're doing seasonal content now. I took about a year off from the game, but have come back right at the start of Season of the Lost and I feel much more invested in the story this way, instead of it being just a bunch of prompts i'm skipping through until I get the reward. Not saying you're "wrong" for your opinion. Just sharing mine.

Is the issue that you aren't able to progress the quest or simply that you are unable to get the chests and anchors from last week. If the issue is with quest progression itself, I definitely agree. However, if the issue is missing out on chests and anchors from last week, I don't see that as a problem as the encounter is designed to unlock new areas to explore each week you go back to it, meaning getting the old chests/anchors plus new ones. It's really no different to other rotations in the game such as the Dreaming City curse week, it's just a part of the game.

3 RepliesIt’s the worst experience with the terrible rng to get you into the three character grind to just having more chances at farming weapons and still not get what you want. I really hate the people who add rng and dilute loot pools and add so many useless perks to weapons just to get you to play more. It ruins what makes destiny fun to play. I’d rather have a single huge content drop and do what I want than ever play the way bungie forces us too week in week out. It’s like they enjoy being big brother micro managing all our time in the game.

Yeah had some time last week with the 3 day holiday and went to do stuff I missed the previous week only to find it's rotating. Bungie is too focused on FOMO.

Bungie: We're going to keep Seasonal content around until the next expansion to reduce FOMO for players. But if you fail to login every week for at least an hour and a half, you're going to be behind everyone else for a month. Enjoy.
