I've always wondered how much of the music we hear in game is recorded with a real orchestra versus created digitally. I know the soundtracks are a mix of live and digital, but what about the event music? Surely not every song we hear can be recorded with an ensemble, or can they? I dropped in to the tower today and the solstice music caught my ear. Usually I can tell the differences between authentic and something like MIDI. But, I guess you never know.
