Sorry there is no excuse for sunsetting so do not defend it cause it was done in destiny 1 and it wasn’t acceptable then.
Reissuing was also done in destiny 1 and it was half ass accepted cause hat was reissued was mainly all the old raid weapons, armors and exotics while doing the same with some other weapons and armors but that was way after the fact.
But do not sit there an say either idea was good when they weren’t.
A promise made along time ago was that bungie the developer did not want players to feel or think any of there gear is useless or doesn’t have a place in there setups. An guess what happened.
There are to many players who still feel that to this day including me where we are tired of being lied to and we want bungie to stick to there end of the deal that they have constantly backed out on.
Many players do not want to keep investing time into a game where they ah e to constantly recollect gear that they have spent years getting use to and finally getting just them to be rendered useless in the long run. In a slap and spit in the face of all the fan base and any attempts to defend bungie decision should be denied when they turn up.
So no do not defend them in there two decisions that were a slap in the face to the destiny player base.

People keep bringing up D1 like the circumstances were the same even. The only thing the truly made sense was culling elemental primaries and the raid weapons that went a little overboard. Back then there was barely any amount of weapons that would compare to what was lost today. The majority of what was cared about was endgame-related. It sucked less because of those differences, and why it didn't put too much of a dent on Taken king in general.

Reissued weapons from dark below and vault of glass were made into exotics instead of being legendaries like they were before. Bet you don’t remember that do you. Only thing that changed about the armor is they had neon coating or whatever it was to give them extra flare.
-
Oh no I remember that, though I didn't really spend much time with AoT to get much of any. Then the legendaries had random rolls shoving the original identities out the door. Weren't even the same guns really by that point
-
My point exactly. You spend so much time getting a certain weapon with it being basically perfect from the offset then it gets removed then reissued and you have to start all over again but this time your not going to get the same thing you had before and may never again forcing you to play the same thing over and over again till you get it again. See the problem yet.

You know I was agreeing with you, right?
-
No because I have had arguments with you before where we have differing opinions and to many people including yourself don’t ever just say I agree with you and here’s why. An considering my brain is a bit fried cause I feel like absolute garbage cause I haven’t gotten much sleep cause of my work schedule so kind hard to read between the lines. Can’t wait for my three days off after today.

fair enough, I'm pretty dead inside too
