I'm just curious, how familiar are you with how these devices work? In my experience, most people (even many of those who own them) don't know what they actually do.

Ive used MnK on console for a couple of days to test it, and it worked very well. And Ive seen videos on the device that reduces recoil. It gives a huge unfair advantage in PvP.

What device do you use? I have both a cronus zen and a xim and I also use m+k on ps5 to try to keep my experience as similar as possible between pc and console. (BTW because I know other people will read this later and flip out, deej confirmed years ago in a reddit post that using things like this as adapters is acceptable under the ToS). But using an adapter for m+k play on console doesn't make it like playing on m+k for pc... These adapters transform your inputs into controller signals. So there's nothing you can do with m+k on console that you couldn't do with a controller. It's just a different feeling. Now you're right, that some devices like the zen and titan offer recoil control... But the way it does it is by applying a predetermined press value to the right thumbstick when you click fire. So it doesn't actually take away recoil. Rather, it alters the controller movement. In a game like destiny, where recoil has so many variables, a script like that wouldn't really be as effective as you'd think. It's much more problematic in something like CoD, where weapons are more standardized. Additionally, if you have any kind of muscle memory at all from fps games where you apply stick tension, it's really disorienting. It's really only useful for people who aren't very good. And they'll lose to you for plenty of reasons other than recoil. So while you might run into a few people using recoil control (I honestly think there aren't that many), you'd probably never notice or care because odds are they're often at the bottom of the leader board.

I can tell what type of person you are so I’m not going to even bother continuing this conversation beyond what I’m about to say. First off if you have a pc, why the f*ck are you playing MnK on console? Moving on, “there is nothing you can’t do on xim that you can’t do on controller,” wrong. Weapons that have heavy recoil, or consistent recoil over time( auto rifles, snipers, pulse rifles, (any fast firing weapons really) are much easier to control with MnK on console, movement control is also better on MnK on console. A directional button press puts you instantly into its maxed out movement speed unlike the controller. On controller it takes time for you to get to max speed, not to mention directional control input on the dual shock isn’t the greatest because it can vary based on the condition of the controller. And yes, this gives you an advantage because when you’re constantly moving at max speed you can evade faster, and take full control of your movement. Button customization is also an advantage over controller, because you can literally bind anything. You can also make your sensitivity higher than a controller if you have a mouse that supports a high dpi. With xim, you can literally make it feel exactly how it is on PC, all it takes is a quality mouse and bit of tinkering with the settings. Sniping is easier because you have better control over your reticle placement. (Imagine using Arbalest... f*cking A) Maintaining situational awareness is easier. Snapping to targets is easier. I can list more, but i think anyone who reads this gets the point. Last thing, you cannot compare your skill on cronus max/xim to someone on a controller. You are no better than them, and you will never be, as long as you use MnK on console. You have an unfair advantage on console whether you admit it or not. That’s the truth, even if it isn’t agains Tos lol... People must love living in their own world of bullshit.

Wow I guess we're on the same page in terms of not wanting to engage with each other further on the topic... And I guess that's OK. I just wanted to answer why I play on console even if I have a pc: I have more friends on PS. That's it. I don't think we'll come to an agreement on anything else.
