The google definition of expansion;
"the action of becoming larger or more extensive."
Beyond light has nerfed almost all of the weapons and armors via sunsetting.
Beyond light has removed Titan, Mars, Nessus, Mercury, Black forge, Menagerie and others as well as the associated activities, strikes, nightfalls.
We gained a new planet, a new/old area of an existing planet, a handful of guns, a new super and some story.
The google definition of diminish;
"make or become less"
Beyond Light is a Diminishing Pack. Let's all get it right.
-
There is literally no reason to sunset raids or their gear..

2 RepliesI still don't get how people are happy for a game company like bungie to remove paid content from a game (planets). It's basically stealing...
-
1 Reply
The google definition of
You just know a post is gonna be special when it starts like this.
-
What real bullshit is I feel if you didn’t buy Beyond Light your experience shouldn’t be changed. All the shit that was removed should still be there.

I see Cozmo replying to some of these forum topics, but seems to deliberately avoid commenting/replying to these topics even though the forum at this moment is almost completely consists of them.

13 RepliesEdited by Yosemite Sam: 11/17/2020 12:53:33 AMIt's actually called empty promises, the only thing this compnay seems to be really good at nowadays. Yeah yeah, I know, saying things like that bothers people that like the defend (this companies multiple deliberate poor decisions.) See, it's easy to blame others for posting negative feedback some don't want to hear sorta speak, but it's hard for the same people to look at the actual facts of how they except the company lying to them, making a lot of promises they can't or never planned on keeping, over-pricing content for less content saying "large empty destinations are a good thing". The truth here is, this company needs to let this game go, I mean they said it themselves that they can not handle the game. What's to explain after that? Nothing. If they can't handle the game, give it to a company that can instead of dragging the game in the mud... Go work on your new IP since that is where most of your employees actually are that put this game on the back burner.

1 ReplyIo, not Nessus.
-
Completely agree. Another weird thing is what they kept. Gambit has 6 maps and they "Vaulted" 2 of them, one in the Dreaming City and the other on Nessus. The weird part is they kept one map on Mars and the other on Titan. Both of those locations are "Vaulted".
Beyond light has removed...Nessus
I think your game is broken.

2 RepliesWhile I have my own gripes with BL your post is total garbage. Beyond Light didn't diminish squat, it just released at the same time as the game diminished stuff. It's not like the content only went away if you purchased BL, it disappeared regardless. Purchasing BL adds the extra BL content for you. Erego BL is an expansion pack. It just released as the game shrunk. Tbh a lot of the problems people complain about with BL aren't actually part of the expansion itself at all, rather they were general changes that Bungie decided to implement at the same time as BL. Sunsetting? Total crap. Also an update to Destiny 2, not a feature of BL specifically.

You are welcome to go play fortnite or whatever is more to your liking.
-
It's a regression pack 😂😂
-
you mean diminishing return?
-
9 RepliesGo look at the roadmap for beyond light. On the roadmap there is a very specific image that says from Nov 10 - Jan 12 uncover Europa’s secrets (This is specifically labeled with the BL insignia). The very last image says “and more!“ Meaning that the expansion has more rolling out over the course of the next 2 months. This is separate from the Season of the Hunt, which has its own specific insignia.

1 ReplySorry for not replying earlier but I've been, well, Playing Destiny 2. Just finished the initial story line with my Titan. Perhaps I should have elaborated more on this topic in the opening thread. Being an old bugger and been playing video games since Windows 3.1, Gee, I can't count the number of games I've bought and played and the many expansion packs along with them over the decades. Destiny 2 is a first. It's the first game I can recall that has actually removed more content from a game than it adds with an expansion pack. That's, amazing? Mind boggling? Down right wrong? Bungle has said previously that D2 was too big for it's boots, too much content that was causing problems with game balance, bugs, problems and many reasons why Bungie became known as Bungle. Is this a fact, or a cop out? Is Bungle really struggling to keep D2 working well or are they just lazy and/or incapable and taking the easy way out? History has shown that in the past, Destiny expansion packs in both 1 & 2 have added content. Will Bungle add content to Beyond light over the next 4 seasons as they have done in the past? Will we get less content than last year? Will the content be better than last year? Will we all enjoy what is coming? Going back to what Bungle said that D2 was too big, too much content to maintain, game bugs blah blah. That would indicate that Bungle intends to release less content this year. Hence why Beyond light = Diminishment. Diminishing quantity. Will it be diminished quality as well?

"It's a contraction pack" joke is sorely missed
-
1 ReplyIt was a DLC. Diminishing Limited Content.
-

2 RepliesHmmm...you feeling strong enough to fight, Guardian?

5 RepliesThis post is the epitome of pedantic lmao. Sun setting sucks, but beyond light is definitely an expansion pack.
-
6 RepliesThis DLC is the equivalent of having a birthday too close to Christmas and you get a gift that “counts as Christmas AND birthday” and the present is a 10 dollar gift card to Golden Corral.

20 RepliesEdited by draycole: 11/16/2020 3:52:15 AMHey OP Your title says "expansion pack" then you give the definition(one of the definitions) for the word "expansion" These are 2 different things, and it seems like you're intentionally trying to mislead people. "Expansions packs" are simply described as "An expansion pack, expansion set, supplement, or simply expansion is an addition to an existing role-playing game, tabletop game, video game or collectible card game." This is the equivalent of asking what a pancake is, then having someone give the definition of a pan.

7 RepliesAll of that content vaulted was irrelevant and the new content added is actually fresh take your troll self somewhere else

2 RepliesDefinitely not a "major expansion" Beyond light on content....
