I'm getting 3 fps in cutscenes.
why? please help.
it's only at the beginning 2 movie cut scenes.

Still having this issue in November 2021. I'm on Windows 10, and I always have been.

September 2021... almost a year later... still not fixed and unable to find any official response about the problem. New expansinon on the horizon and still many can't even properly play/enjoy the current one they paid for. This does not inspire much faith, and it makes me sad. Bungie please :(

Again... the fps drop was fixed in 3.1.1.1 (3/23/2021)... then the bug came back in patch 3.1.1.2 (4/01/2021). What a bizarre April Fool's joke lol

Yes, it was fixed as of 3.1.0.2. ... but the cutscene bug is BACK as of patch 3.1.1! I finally found the time try the campaign, and it's back.

I've changed my os from 7 to windows 10 and dont have any issue with cut scenes anymore. Sorry you have to upgrade your OS. Windows 10 is actually quite better than 7. It runs faster and no longer have to be upgraded anymore.

2 RepliesI'm disappointed the latest patch did not fix this month long issue. I was hoping to play the campaign WITH cutscenes (and without having to redo the mission because you failed to spam esc before the cutscene starts) before Cyberpunk, but doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Perhaps my friends are right and Bungie is doing us a favor with their issues. Regardless, good luck everyone.

Same boat - Win7 64-bit (Not upgrading to Win10) Given that this thread has been going on for about a month and I only installed to try it out, I'll just uninstall. Let me know if this ever gets resolved.

Same issue here.. Im guessing nobody over at bungie cares because the parent company has decreed everyone needs to move to 10. win7 x64, gtx 1080, i7 and 24gb of ram

1 ReplyHey guys, I found a solution that worked for me. I hope it works for you guys too. I'm on Windows 7 as well. If you're using Nvidia, go to the control panel. From there go to Manage 3D settings On the tabs, go to Program Settings, and wait for the list to load. From there select Destiny 2 on the drop down list In the features list, select the SHADER CACHE and turn it off. Then save the settings and restart your computer. This seemed to work for me, as I got the new Osiris cutscene at the standard 30FPS. Hope it helps you guys!

Same. Can't even mash esc fast enough to skip the cutscene, getting booted to orbit due to low fps.Why did I even pay for Beyond light if I can't complete the campaign? Fix this Bungie now!

actually expended them atleast to show that they are doing something about the issue with cinematics, but i guess maybe next week or such, hopefully the fix will be before any new cinematics arrive just after campaign, fingers crossed hopin for best

+1 Campaign is unplayable for me until they patch it. Can't be difficult, they probably changed the way videos are rendered somehow... The must know what the change was. The codec, compression, something. Bungie, please, revert this shit. We can't play the story.
