My guess is that it wants to turn us over to its side before actually trying to kill us. I don’t think it really has a point in terraforming Io, Titan, Mars and Mercury other than to show us how powerful it actually is and how weak the Light is, and give us an idea of what we’d gain by siding with it. From my knowledge, (which I pretty limited tbh) everything it’s done has been it trying to turn us to its side (inviting us into the Lunar Pyramid, and now giving us Stasis). Sending an army to kill us would undo all of that, and make an enemy out of us. It might be giving us time to make up our mind on whether or not we want to side with it (even though it’s obvious that we shouldn’t side with it, some players want to). Then in Lightfall, we give a final answer. [spoiler]So if we actually accepted its ideas, would we make an ally of the Darkness (but abandon humanity and the Light), our would it just kill us while our guard’s down. Or do we know?[/spoiler]
