Mida Multi Tool catalyst needs an alternative or adjusted drop method
Mida is a weapon obtained by a pve quest why should the catalyst drop from crucible. I would be able to overlook this if it wasn't dropping from the glory playlist. It's not even just by playing it; you need to pretty much go for the legend rank. As someone who just starting playing the game in year 2, I am not going to be able to compete with the troglodytes that have been playing pvp nonstop since Destiny 1 especially in the latter ranks of glory. Maybe make it drop from resetting your valor or from just completing glory games so that people can complete their collections and triumphs. Especially because the catalyst is not even good, it shouldn't be this hard to get.

I agree about the catalyst drop. I honestly just want the thing to make orbs and I'd be fine with it. I don't use it in pve now though because it doesn't. If it can be a more interesting perk, better. Maybe swashbuckler? That would be really exotic.

It should have kill clip. Outlaw is so stupid. Reload is almost maxed out standard

It is a barely noticeable benefit. Worst catalyst in the game, just below Vigilance Wing’s one. Great guns. Terrible catalysts.

It was in legend rank because at one point, Mida was the meta in comp. It was back in Year 1 that people were screeching for a nerf but Bungie was adamant against the nerf because they felt it wasn’t overpowered, it wasn’t, it was good because everyone had access to it and high cal rounds.

It's weird to make it so hard to get, and it's not even that good? I want it because I'm somewhat of a completionist, but at the same time it's such a slog 😥

I know the catalyst can drop at much lower glory (2100+, I believe). I've won a bunch of games around 3000-3500 this season without getting it, and I don't really enjoy Comp. Can anyone confirm you can get the catalyst from other PVP playlists? I've read several posts about earning it outside Comp.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 10/24/2020 2:16:04 AMThe problem is that Bungie created that catalyst when the Mida-Multi truly shone in D2Y1 & the 4vs4 DuckHunt Scouts had their day back then They’ve never recovered since the introduction of 6vs6 in Y2 (Forsaken) The Mida Multi catalyst should get AP Rounds, RangeFinder & a choice of Kill Clip/Celerity

The catalyst if not that useful. The weapon is not that useful. It's not a PVE weapon and scouts suck in PVE. If you play PVP you'll get it. It's not that hard. If you're having a hard time I'm guessing you are missing a bunch of the catalysts because you haven't played that much.

5 RepliesUnless u plan on reloading at the speed of light u don’t rly need it. If u want it that bad get better at pvp and get to legend it’s not that hard. If you don’t plan on playing comp then don’t plan on getting the catalyst my guy. Everything can’t just b given for free

it gives you outlaw on an already fast reloading weapon. Plus scouts suck

15 RepliesI was sooooooo frustrated until I got it. Not only it's RNG, it just drops from games u win already at 5500 glory. While it is not that hard for skilled dudes to get 5500, keeping it until the mida c. drops is very hard when u r running literally against the best players in the world!!

They should not be exclusive to PVP. Especially Trials! You know how absolutely terrible it’s going to be come November. So there should be a PVE source as well. They can create Heroic Dungeons. Raids and Grandmaster Nightfalls, etc.

I was doing a 5500 recovery for a friend and it dropped for me at 3500 so I think it’s just random as long as you win. When I got mine you needed a win after 5500 to get it.

7 RepliesIt's a pretty good PvP gun though. I think they do it to give incentive to reach legend. Do you want PvP tips? I was able to solo to legend. If you try again, you might want to start next season when there's a bunch of new players.
