So that we don't inadvertently break the same rule over and over. The way moderation is sometimes pretty inconsistent, allowing the poster to view the offending content would be helpful.
Ninja's do not discuss moderation actions in public, you would want to message a Ninja for more details Their group is here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Groups/Chat?groupId=121
Ninja's do not discuss moderation actions
In my experience is the way to represent that one. If we allow the offending user to view that content, ninjas don't have to talk about it. Users aren't left feeling like they should just take it offsite altogether.
you were moderated contacting a Ninja will get you the exact reason for the moderation.
We get the reason as a notification. Disruptive/religious/ political/phishing/ solicitation/gore/ etcetera. That's not really what I'm asking. In human moderation, if there's a cohort, stylistically different mods might interpret the COC in different ways. If for example Stosh brings the hammer down because I said "cake is better than pie, but at the end of the day I prefer a cran-walnut muffin" (political discourse in some circles) the notification should show me the infringing content automatically. Instead of "post has been met with ninja justice, pretty much here's the COC". If the punishment doesn't fit, at that point I'd take it up with a ninja. Not until though. I get a warning for Political content. Alongside the bit about cran-walnut muffins being superior, I ALREADY know what time it is. As it stands now, I could be looking at a 2 week vacation next time I express my feelings about muffins! Like do we want the forum to die!? Because that's a contributing factor to the how and why forums die.

If you cannot self determine what caused it...reach out. I have been auto mod ed 2x. One I knew why and one I asked a mod for clarification.
