Dear Bungie, You Haven't Been "Transparent" With Us
In the April 23rd TWAB you said you were going to be transparent about the cheating issue. This was over a month after trials returned and we saw the problem full force.
It's now been over 4 months since that TWAB and we have heard NOTHING AT ALL about the cheating issue. Where is the transparency? Where is the news about some anti-cheat? WHERE IS THE ANTI-CHEAT.
I want to know numbers:
How many people are being banned per day/week/month/year?
How long until the anti cheat is completed?
What is taking so long?
Fortnite, COD, Escape from Tarkov do a better job at monitoring the security of their game, so I don't understand why this is such a big problem.

People should stop giving them so much credit simply because their business model revolves around a video game. They're not here to make you happy. They're here to take your money.

They'd have to pull a miracle out of their butts to make that 10 years old engine and the P2P system even remotely free of cheaters. Hope dies last...but I really don't have much hope for this game's PvP anymore. It may be beyond repair.

21 RepliesPlayed a couple of games today, met 4 cheaters, made refound for Beyond Light Deluxe. I think i'm done. Just a crap, not a game any more. PVE it's clearly mobile gotcha farm game - task simulator, pvp was only LIVE thing and it's totally devastated with f2p model.

16 RepliesI love how you mentioned CoD i bet if activison still had a hand in the game the anti-cheat would be 100 times better (i was gonna say 10 but I felt that would still be to low) And i bet we would have atleast gotten much better content, Ever since the split the game has gone downhill.

Also: the secrets out that Bungie has been in bed with streamers about the direction of Destiny since at least last year. Less of a secret is that Bungie's anti-cheat is literally a handful of dudes watching streams and nothing else.

They don’t want to reveal the anti cheat system for trials yet because they don’t want to release release the patch notes before the release of the patches because the cheaters will find a way around the anti cheat system straight away when the patches come out. This is the best move bungie can do. They’re in a tough spot here with beyond light coming out in November and with a load of content behind the release of that. Honestly I do feel your pain but all we can do is be patient.

Not only have they not been transparent, which can be chalked up to indifference, but what Bungie has done since that statement is actively mislead and deceive, which in my eyes is way way worse.

Don’t guarantee money without knowing what you’re buying. You’re just giving them a free pass to repeat this Yr3 debacle. It doesn’t matter how anemic the seasons are, they’ve already been paid. So then they gouge you with Eververse. What if you paid for the season on its own. If it’s shit, you lose $10. But Bungie loses $30+Eververse income. They know they have to, you know, put in some effort if they wanna get paid. They will know they can’t cram everything into Eververse for silver. Just a thought. Don’t give them that cheezburger til Tuesday when they can actually pay for it

There are good players and lucky shots but just kills my playstyle personally with dying to a sus shot. Player movement is usually sign of a good player not so much perfect aim toggled, but even some small streamers have been caught. Got the flawless title last season and I love trials, not really playing this season minus a few cards now to help the clan. They need to be transparent considering trials on pc is taking a huge hit (other issues do exist) in participation. I'm hoping that now they are kindof back in bed with MS with the gamepass that they will get access to a good anti-cheat.

1 ReplyWe should threaten litigation. Maybe then they’ll actually spill the beans. They as a developer have the obligation of informing us about the status of the game. This “ghosting” act is getting real old real fast, and perhaps the only way to move forward is by taking this into the court of law.

I just refunded the DLC preorder, Trials is a joke, every time I play against a team of professionals who cross the map jumping wiith sniper and killing everyone with a precision shot, and I don't even need to talk about the psychics who know where everyone is. Oh yes, last night I met a hunter who knew how to levitate, in addition to getting under the map and hitting 100% of the shots at everyone, not to mention the other one that killed everyone with Izanagi behind a wall, just fantastic ...

6 RepliesAlso data minors saw them adjusting the seasonal road map way before they announced that they were pushing back beyond light, and at that point they were still claiming beyond light was on track for September 10th. Not too mention they are still very vague regarding beyond light details

1 ReplyThe transparency is when you look up the best players in the world and they’re mostly obvious cheaters. I just feel sad for some of my friends that are diamond /2800+ elo in trials with tens of thousands of kills and are ranked in the 200/300th when they are obviously top 100.
