Let the stacks sweat it out against the stacks.
Give us freelance quickplay. I don't really care if the wait is long, it's much better than wasting 10mins and getting mercied.

1 ReplyI'd settle for them adding back the ability to check the roster (which they sneakily disabled) before the match launches so i can dodge them.

Stacks on Stacks is fax

4 RepliesNo. Learn to take the loss like an adult and find a team.

1 ReplyTheres nothing I love more than stomping a team that is trying to stomp in quick play.. Its so satisfying. Yes - I love the fact that CBMM is a thing, but I've noticed groups trying to take advantage of it... they should be queued up with other fire teams in their own playlist. Freelance QP should be a thing.

Edited by sideswipe: 7/25/2020 11:43:56 AMAbsolutely, so sick of the 6-pack of piss stains in every match! They can go up against other matched stacked teams out there that just want bully into an easy Mercy

15 RepliesIts ridiculous 6s are now a sweat fest. Something needs to be done. I'm tired of bungie catering to the lowest population of players. I can't load into control or any of the quick play stuff without loading into a game with a full six stack rocking meta garbage. Mountaintop and beloved players throwing bags left and right. Its getting tiring. I can't inagine the game maintaining its population until November at this rate.

12 RepliesDude I play solo 98% of the time and rarely face stacks since they took out sbmm. When sbmm was on then yes I was playing these qp nerds who hold hands. If I do play against a team they are usually timmys and they are on my team while are the 2 man teams are average joes so I have to attempt to carry the timmys. I haven’t checked your kd but I’m willing to bet it’s negative.
-
1 ReplyI've fought stacks that I see complaints about. You're stuck with either garbage team mates or you yourself aren't up to the task. That aside. Freelance doesn't belong in QP. Pass it around to the specified modes instead.
-
2 RepliesDatto doesn’t want it and what Datto wants bungie gives. He is an average pvp player so he needs his team to carry his arse.
-
1 Reply10 mins getting farmed you mean. I'm playing control not capping zones the whole fireteam going for kills... #livestock

I like CBMM and stacks vs. stacks! +1

4 RepliesHow are so many people somehow constantly running into stacks. Its pretty rare for me and I play more than most. Then you also have to add in the fact that just because people are playing together that does not necessarily mean they are unbeatable. This seems like problem that could be solved through people using teamwork and paying attention. If more people did that then at least half the stacks you face you'd probably beat.
-
2 RepliesThe problem is not fireteams per se. The problem is they're breaking CBMM and exploiting a lag shield.. If Bungie will not let a fireteam with a single lagging player into a lobby it'll fix most of the frustration with the current Crucible.
-
3 RepliesYa I don’t like facing stacks but most of them are trash and think of it like this. You and your 5 below average buddies hop on to play some quickplay. You’re not going to have fun getting matched against a team of sweaty 6 every time. This game is about making friends not being a lone wolf but if you are good enough it won’t matter
-
5 RepliesSure... Every stack is sweating... Or not, do you realize that a lot of stacls are just playing with their friends for the fun ? Myself when i play in a fireteam we are using guns we would never use where we actually want to sweat. We are joking...having fun...but litteraly never doing any kind of strat for...a quickplay. Some fireteams does tryhard sure. But thats how it is. Ive faced tryhards fireteams and still won. Or even if i lose i did my best and losing a qp match isnt an issue. If you are getting mercied every time...the issue comes from you.
-
A bunch of blueberries and me mercied a stack earlier; what is the issue? Players are players whether they are aligned in a team or solo.

1 ReplyI've enjoyed roasting stacks of four or five while I solo with randoms. You have to go slower and follow a teammate, but stacks can be wrecked. I usually pm them with snarky comments after, especially if I lose and my team wasn't mercied. I mean come on if you're going to roll 3 or 4 deep get the job done or go home.

2 RepliesEdited by Lull9: 7/25/2020 12:51:39 AMIt would be fairer if they made more of an effort to match stacks to stacks. Obviously connection cannot be totally ignored but it gets ridiculous when you go match after match where it's teams vs singles. If that is happening, why can't the teams play each other? Also, clearly there is plenty of demand for solo queuing. I personally don't want to make a cute little playdate to play 4 quickplay matches. I'm not against "friends having fun" but honestly it's kind of sad seeing full teams in casual Crucible and Gambutt. Other than connection quality arguments, I can't see how anyone can defend a status quo of solos vs teams. ...Unless you're trying to abuse the matchmaking to your benefit.

1 ReplyEdited by DHawk12: 7/25/2020 5:38:54 PMTeam based matchmaking is the solution, NOT a freelance mode or 6 stack only mode. 6 stack vs 6 stack 5 stack/1 solo vs 5 stack/1 solo 4 stack/2 stack or 4 stack/2 solos vs ... etc...

If you really wanted to, you could actually take advantage of a crippling weakness that all stacks can’t avoid. Allow me to explain. Since it’s cbmm this season, the game is trying to match you with players with similar connections and lives closer to your location in the world. However, when it comes to stacks, it pretty much can’t do that correctly. I believe it’ll attempt to match connections with the host of their lobby. And stacks will always have at least 1 person who is foreigner in the lobby. As you can expect, his connection is worse. But did you know it’s also causing the rest of his stacks connections to be worse as well? They’re all lagging because of this one person, and it gives them a huge advantage. But it also leaves there entire stack vulnerable to being reportable for bad connections. No stack can avoid this, and it’s easy to take get proof from recording the match. It’s very hard for virtually any stack to avoid this, as their connections will be trash regardless. You can go even further and tell your teammates after the game is over to report for bad connections. Your not wrong about it. Can you imagine their faces if 6 people stacked reports for bad connections against them, in every game they play, and then their entire stack gets a temporary, humiliating suspension as a result. Imagine getting that every time they tried to stack a lobby. Take advantage of every stacks greatest weakness. Not your fault they tried to skew the connection system.

Fast games, quick tokens. Win win.

3 RepliesEdited by JazzyPaladin477: 7/25/2020 12:37:32 PMYup. As a solo player i have found It is highly dependant on when you play. I have played during the early morning on week days and it is great. Feels not too far off what sbmm did. Played 6 games of clash/control and did not run into one team, never mind a team of 6. Games felt fun and balanced, great connection every shot landing. Evenings and weekends are a toxic mess. I’ve also noticed that the connections suck at this time, I guess fireteams bypass the cbmm and make it redundant. connections should be best at this time as largest number of people are playing. Impossible to find a game without going up against a team of 4 at least. And usually that team of 4 will be paired up with another team of two, against 6 solos for some reason!!! Would be way better if they did team matching.

5 RepliesThere doesn't need to be freelance QP. What should happen is heavily prioritized fireteam vs fireteam matchmaking That way games would still be filled quickly while having less games where its a full team versus solos
