I hated trails last season but you know I was curious see how it is the first weekend of the new season .....
"weird theres no passage to buy ....okay ill check my other charters since I deleted my titan last season ....nope nothing to buy from Saint on my alt characters , probably a bug ill restart the game"
......
"Still nothing, maybe others are having this problem ill google it"
"Oh"
"LAME"
But apparently you "tweeted it" I hate Twitter, its boring and I don't want to use it....but apparently that's the only way your communicate.....instead of idk an in game memo.....
Idk how 6 years on destiny still feels like a beta game

38 RepliesTwitter is starting to become BLM and Antifa headquarters. They are trying to get trump canceled. Lol. Just delete twitter. It's just a social network for socialists and communists.
-
I’m 45 and don’t do social media at all. I can’t stand the fact that they can’t put it in the game or the app and still do Twitter
-
1 ReplyDid you see they replied to your post!!! On Instagram....
-
61 RepliesTwitter is quicker and easier. It also reaches more people. Why does it matter where they put the information? It’s not like you can’t access it because it’s not on the forums.
-
6 RepliesAn in game community board in the tower would be nice, or just a news NPC to talk to. I think I found out about the live event because of twitter, luckily I was 100minutes late so I didn't waste 2 hours on it.
-
12 RepliesTypical boomer refusing to get with the times. Twitter has over 330 million users, now, let's look at b.net... I would probably say around 90% less.
-
Why don’t display in game. They able to lock the content without affecting any one.
-
1 Replykind of pathetic they only use twitter to post news, I have to either wait for someone on discord to mention it or wait for a youtuber
-
2 RepliesThink that's bad? Infinity Ward has an actual patch notes tab in the CoD:MW menu and guess what they put in it? "Hey guys, go check out our Twitter if you want patch notes!" It's like getting Rick-roll'd, but not at all funny.
-
Communication is not one of Bungies Strongholds.😂
-
3 RepliesYou could just use google ..
-
2 RepliesI mean the Bungie tweets are also on this websites home page. I'd understand if they only responded to this through Reddit considering they haven't integrated Reddit into this website but what ever ...
-
Not just Bungie, but most companies use existing technologies to handle certain aspects of their business. This is so they don’t spend time and resources reinventing the wheel when they don’t need to. Bungie already has these forums so the above doesn’t apply here but it’s just something to think about. My theory is that they use Twitter as sort of a marketing platform. People talk about destiny on social media and potential customers may see that and get interested in the game.
-
Would be nice if there was an alerts bar on the login screen for things like this, Fallout 76 has something like that on it's main menu when there are issues with the game
-
Didnt even know trials was down until i saw someone screenshot a tweet and show me
-
Totally agree!

Edited by Audiblegold86: 6/14/2020 3:07:24 PMGood point to be honest. Nothing against them using Twitter to release news and updates. But then, what about this forum/website and the Companion app exist? Surely these days in the 21st century, it shouldn't be too hard to mirror the news and updates on the forum, companion app, facebook or twitter. Clearly people have their preferences to which/whether they use social media and what type, so why not cater for them? Oh wait, I forgot. Bungle doesn't like giving customers what they want and that Destiny 2 is a chore instead of a game.
-
1 ReplyCompletely agree. Bungie, NOT EVERYONE USES TWITTER. And I am not creating a Twitter account just to see your updates.
-
5 Repliesi dont bother with antisocial media. there is nothing social about it. i see nothing good coming out of it.
-
1 ReplyYou’d think the CMs might actually forward the BNet Twitter information to the official Bnet forum right? There’s what 3 of them isn’t there? Obviously it’s not part of their respective job descriptions.
-
Edited by MagicalTaco117: 6/13/2020 9:17:06 PMDude. Agreed 1000%. The only reason I downloaded that useless cesspool of an app was because there is ZERO way to actually get in touch with anybody at Bungie about anything. It’s there I learned that you still don’t get responses, but the post some important information only over on twatter and NOT on their own game forums.
-
It's pretty dumb to go to twitter to get game info when they took the time to build an entire app that could do the same, or better yet they could just put the info IN THE GAME. Not to mention, but in the case of the CM's or devs, that's their personal Twitter that you are following so every cat pic, political/social opinion, food pic, etc, is all shared there along with the game info you follow them for. Not to say they don't have every right to post that stuff on their own accounts, but there should be a way to get the relevant info without wading through their personal lives. I know it's not up to the minute information but Destiny roundup does a great job of collecting the relevant info from Twitter or Reddit and compiling it into one spot. Definitely recommend using that site if you don't want Twitter or Reddit. For important game info like maintenance etc, Bungie has a discord channel that updates every time they tweet.
-
Gotta love the fanboy responses. "Bungie does no wrong! You must love Twitter because..well...Bungie wants you to"
-
They should have an in game mail system like every other online game. A little "mail" section on the destination menu amongst seasons, destinations, store, etc would solve all these issues without them having to listen to forum noise.

21 RepliesTwitter is faster to post an update and reaches people quicker. If you hate Twitter that much...Reddit is also a good source of news for Destiny as users or Community Managers will just share the Tweets there.
-
18 RepliesImagine being too lazy to search Twitter on google
