Pvp shouldn’t be the focus.
Pvp just holds destiny back, get rid of it.

Well you can thank pvp for the lackluster mechanics and bullet sponges in pve too. If game didn’t have to revolve around pvp and it’s balancing needs things would be much different.

You do understand that the pve numbers are inflated by the number of pvp players that must also grind for gear right? Cut pvp from the game and pve numbers will go down too.

Most of my friends bought it for pvp, because it's from the same company that made Halo and they enjoy D2 pvp (you can't find pvp with space magic anywhere else) And you need weapons to play pvp, so you need to play the pve modes like everyone else, even if you don't play the story, you still need to do strikes, nfs, menagerie, reckoning and so on... If you don't enjoy the mix, go play Anthem (since you want a pve only game) and stop being a snowflake that wants things removed just because you don't like them.

I’m not the one who bought a core pve game with pvp. Pvp is almost optional so yeah plenty to keep me busy when they switch focus back. Enjoy your 1990 p2p connection and maps designed for 4 players vs. 6. I get your point, but Destiny is PVE at its core so that’s on you. Don’t have to agree with my opinion but numbers do not lie and between pve getting shafted and trials returning play numbers have reached an all time low, yup during lockdown quarantine numbers were at an all time low. At the very least the two modes should be separate, then I wouldn’t have to play pvp for weapons to use in pve and you wouldn’t have to play pve to level up for pvp. Best of both worlds. Imo the only reason it’s not this way now is that Bungie knows pvp wouldn’t hold its own. I mean if it was separated and people like me who want nothing to do with it didn’t have to play it to complete milestones or to acquire stuff like Randy’s or mt top there would literally be next to no one playing. You also can not compare any other game to destiny, not anthem nor division. Maybe Warframe but that’s even different imo. Also if pvp and pve were separate the space magic you speak of would be much better bc sub classes and supers could be so much more if they were not held back bc of pvp and it’s balancing needs .

I also disagree as pvp numbers as well as pve numbers have tanked recently since focus has switched to pvp. Numbers were soaring during Forsaken and even Shasmdowkeep. Now that trials is back it has seen less and less players entering it as the weeks go on, what was it last weekend like 40k participated. On the other hand pve would normally see more like 500k plus players at any given time. Pvp is tearing destiny apart imo and it needs to be completely separate from the pve side of game in order for pve to shine again. You can’t have a story with $10 seasons either, which doesn’t help numbers right now, but imo pvp holds destiny back and is the root of all the problems in pve. If the game didn’t have to conform to certain models bc of pvp and it’s balancing needs there would be some crazy stuff happening in pve, but nope, everything needs to be useless except hand cannons shotguns and truth for some reason????? There is 0 reason that pvp and pve should coexist, there needs are fundamentally different and no matter what is done one side or the other suffers. More people play for pve so it only makes sense to get rid of pvp or separate it from the core game experience.

But Bungie needs to adapt to actual rules of the game industry. To use their own words, it should be watchable. I know that Gladd and his/ not his clan got some viewers, but I think you gonna agree with me, that the most people watching PvP players. So 1. point against focusing on PvE, just cause of better marketing. If they gonna focus on PvE, do you really think it gonna be less "boring" for "major playerbase" than it is now? I wont lie last season I didnt even touch this new pve activity, just for triumphs and the quest. Season before,where I started I also didnt buy the season, later I bought dlcs for weapons, with focus on PvP. Raids arent worth the time you are invest in them, some skins wont change it for majority of the players. There is a reason to coexist, PvP legitimates the grind behind PvE at least atm, maybe the rewards gonna be better in next seasons, but like I said its doubtful, that some ornaments gonna motivate casuals to play raids or another "harder" pve activities. To conclude, Destiny without PvP would end like Warframe, fashion = endgame. About the 10 €, I will be honest with you. The money I paid for destiny, Idk was some special a total of 30 €, I wouldnt pay it again. Firstly, the discription was baiting af, I though it included 3 season passes, but it were the old content from previous seasons menegarie, gambit etc. So, I pay for DLC, but why the hell should I also pay for season pass and why is there ingame shop? But seems they realized, that players dont like it, so they will change it atleast they want to change it. Have a nice day/night I go to sleep.

Streamers and their idea of what destiny should be is why it’s a dumpster fire right now, the majority of playerbase doesn’t watch gladd nor give af what he thinks or that he even exists. Bungie doesn’t benefit from a streamer exposing the game to new players unless there is a popular variety streamer who starts streaming D2 to get fresh eyes on it. For Destiny we built massive channels of DESTINY PLAYERS and those streamers left to play other games during D2. The ones who came back and possibly brought people who play other games are just advertising broken PVP full of cheaters and error codes.

All, that are talking some shit about hackers in every game etc. All of that people who claiming the enemy is cheating especially using "wallhacks" or "aim bot" are just bad losers. If you are streamer it doesnt mean that the dude who outaimed you is a fking cheater, he was just better. Yes obviously there is an issue with cheating in destiny, but people exxagerate it. And secondly there is no "bad" advertisement.

I watch streamers who also check their stats, and vac ban history when they suspect cheating. Every time both indicate they are cheating. The cheaters don’t even win every time. The cheating isn’t the point, the fact that players watching streams just see players complain constantly about the state of the game.

Sure advertising needs to be done but twitch isn’t the only way to do it, I don’t watch it nor does the majority of people who game. Only thing that needs to change is price tag, it’s 2020 and games have been $60 for 30 years. Charge commensurately and produce quality and quantity and the game will do extremely well and sell itself. Don’t need to prioritize streamers and create “watchable” content that the majority of us do not care about. Not to mention every time there is a new season or expansion Bungie hypes the hell outta it with advertising trailers. Twitch can exist but it’s not the end all be all like you youngsters think. Only one who needs to open his eyes and view it from a different angle is you. And mark my words this industry will start to go the other way again eventually bc there are enough gamers like me with common sense who will form their own opinions.

Check my stats, I only play pvp to obtain the exotics or legendaries that require pvp play, you know, the best weapons in the game. Now that pinnacles and any op gear or weapons to chase have been neutered for sake of pvp I’ve taken a break from this game. No point playing to grind bounties for no reason. I understand there’s issues like power creep but Bungie is handling it wrong. My friends have all quit now also, we were here to become legend but the way everything scales now it’s pointless. And thanks but no thanks on nightfalls that get you followers as a reward. Just my opinion, you can form your own. It sucks bc I really like this game but I can not support them with their current philosophies. Stay safe out there guardian.

Trials alone kept destiny in the top 5 viewed games on twitch every single weekend. Even if people weren’t that good at PvP, people would still go into trials just for a small chance at loot. PvP shaped the entire game as much as PvE and it is not going to be removed an any point in the game’s lifespan.

That’s your opinion. There are more people that play and don’t watch twitch or streamers. We are here for pve and it sucks currently bc it’s being held back again due to pvp. Trials may have kept d1 alive for you, but you are not the majority and numbers do not lie. Pve has always held the higher play numbers in destiny. Sure when trials was new for a week it may have been closer to even but generally pve has always been 20-40% higher with play numbers. You young guys need to wake up! Twitch and YouTube don’t mean anything to the rest of us. Try ranking a game on its own merits vs ohh this is in top ten on twitch so it must be good lmao Get a clue!

What’s really sad is some people grew up with these models and don’t know any better. I’d love to see games made by gamers for gamers again but I realize those days are long gone and it’s very sad.
