Am I the only one who misses sparrow racing?
Seriously. I thought it was such a fun distraction from the constant grind that included a bunch of cosmetic goodies. Two events, then it died, was buried, and forgotten.

Unfortunately, the event was too long. By the middle of the first week there were gamers who played SRL nonstop and got all the armor that enabled them to go faster than other players.

At least SRL was a proper unique experience for an event.

They’d have to rework sparrows, maybe add a better trick system, make all the eververse sparrows into sparrow ornaments, and make the best sparrows only unlockable from the hardest content

1 ReplyThe only people who don't miss it sucked at driving a sparrow. They have the same exact feelings for combined arms - another well-loved game mode that was taken away.

2 RepliesI never got to play it. Bungie snuck it into the game during a time when I was pissed of at them and not playing the game. I was busy playing other better games. Then when I heard about it I went to log in for the first time in several months and they had removed it the day before. Lol.

I loved SRL. I completely forgot about it until this post. That was so fun man I got first place every game.

No. It’s been mentioned numerous times on the forums and ignored every time by Bungie. If we ever do get it it will be copy and paste from D1.

Was one of the most fun activities ever created in this game. And could be played solo as well as with teams. But, it was fun and that can never be allowed, so vanished...

I played like 3-5 times and got bored. We barely had maps and the mode could’ve been better. If I wanted a racing experience I could also just play another game. The armor though was awesome not gonna lie

1 ReplyI miss it but our sparrows are made of glass compared to D1 sparrows. They would have to raise the durability of those things first. Also the sparrows are a lot less smooth gliding then in D1 getting hooked on the ground and just dead stopping from a jump would be more prevalent. Also the sparrows don't slide as much either. Plus most people would cry about how my Sparrow is faster. All I'm going to say is certain perks on the Sparrow make it go faster if you remember what to do. Coming from someone who was top 1% in Sparrow racing... Don't bring it back yet they will ruin it. Man do I miss it though so much fun...

That shit was FUN. Loved playing it and seeing people hit the forklift in the plaguelands or the pillar on that other map I can’t remember what planet

They need to bring back SRL... but on dedicated servers, and let us mod and supe-up our Sparrows with weapons, shielding, special abilities, etc.
