Depends a lot on the exact way they are gonna do it. I can understand the need to make the new loot feel fresh, but at the same time I really fail to see why I shouldn't be able to use something like Misfit as my casual add clearing tool just because I like the futuristic no-nonsense look of it. More options is good, but obsessively chasing the latest stat-increment isn't really my thing. Rather challenge myself a bit more and look good while doing it instead of relying on eye-sore crutches [spoiler]like Izanagi.[/spoiler]
