The quitter penalty is what you've experienced. It lasts 30 to 60 minutes. There is no escalation of this penalty, so each time you quit Comp or get disconnected you'll have a 30 to 60 minute timeout before you can re-enter Comp.

Its great and all, but people that i am supposed to help suffer from this. I dont even know whats going to happen with trials if people can kick you and your fireteam from the game or shoot their pulses with rpms higher than anything from the game/nocliping/teleporting/getting heavies and supers from the start etc
