PvP complaint: Single player vs. Clan stacks

(Minor note before the rant, I am primarily a console user so some of these issues may not completely apply to PC/Steam/Stadia users.) This has been a thorn in my side for quite a long time and I imagine other solo players would agree with what I'm about to bring up... While attempting to compete Iron Banner for this season. Or PvP in general (it's just worse during Iron Banner weeks) I always find myself in the same situation. Nearly 3 out of 4 matches I have been fighting against 4, 5 or even 6 stacked (clan) teams against a bunch of solo players. This is beyond infuriating to fight against. A stacked clan obviously has an advantage with communication (via Xbox/PlayStation party chats and even Discord), where as solo players don't even have that. They have to rely on their own skills as well as the unknown skills of their random teammates. Usually very little coordination and no communication. How is this remotely fair? "Skill Based Match Making", what a joke! I have only been extremely fortunate that I have managed to hold my own in some matches and even barely beating some stacked teams. Not just from my effort, but from other solo players... but moments like those are so very few and far in-between. Bungie, please, for the love of this so called "endgame activity", consider tweaking your matchmaking more. Teams of 3 or more should be in lobby's where there are 3+ stacked team fighting against each other. This is partially why I think Freelance Survival has been okay for the community. You have 6 random people crafted into teams of 2. Everyone is primarily at the same playing field, the only difference is how good you are and how well you work with your random team. This gives solo players a chance to improve themselves as well as getting involved in PvP related quests and activities. I personally don't care how long matchmaking would take if this little change would be considered. I would like to see fair matches of 6v6 primarily consisting of solo players (as well as duo teams... they're fine to be matched with solo queued players). So at least if I lose, I can consider the fact that I did my best and the matchmaking there in that match was fair, while (primarily) having other solo players all in that same lobby. Whereas, if I lose to a team that has two groups of 3, or 4,5, or 6 people in a stacked in a single team... 9 times out of 10 that's usually not even remotely fair with my team being made up of say, 4 random solo players and a duo team. Usually my team ends up getting stomped/mercy ruled. There's no enjoyment or player improvement when that happens. ON BOTH SIDES. The stacked team obviously didn't get better by stomping a bunch of solo players and the solo players will obviously get upset due to the unfair match up... there's no growth in that experience. It would be nice to see possible options for solo players if they would like to be matched up with other fireteams in PvP. This option could even be implemented in Gambit... I mean... there's already a similar option like that for Raids with Guided Game. Why not make something similar to that for PvP? Give players the option if they want to be matchmade with other larger groups. I know it sounds very convoluted and specific to put an option like that in the game BUT it's either that or I would like to see a bit more... necessary tweaks done to PvP... I'm quite tired of fighting (primarily clan) stacked teams and getting mercy ruled within a minute's time in PvP as a solo player. ESPECIALLY in Iron Banner. Oh and P.S. I don't want to hear the whole, "Matchmaking is perfectly fine! You should just get better" comments. You try fighting against a team of 3 to 6 well coordinated people by YOURSELF and tell me how good you do (WITHOUT super kills or heavy kills)... I'll wait... Short answer though, 9 out of 10 times you will lose every time. So don't even try. Also, I would like to express my feedback on PvP for one more thing... Could you all check the amount of player usage of Luna's Howl, Not Forgotten has been getting lately? Bungie, while you might have nerfed them a while back. They're still the only thing I see in PvP anymore that people seem to use (aside from every Titan super and shoulder charge). Changes definitely need to be made to balance out the PvP experience. Anyway, sorry for the long rant. Hope everyone's Season of Dawn is going well.

 • So I was on a 4 streak in survival with my team and randomly get booted but I'm not having any internet issues so I'm not sure if the opposing team did some dirty stuff or I just got randomly booted cause this is not right that I got booted and get hit with a loss.
