Well, the mechanics of being able to add shaders to the Exotic weapons, has been in the game since day 1. They simply need to add the little square that allows you to keep a shader selected. It's exactly the same system, that prevents players from using more than one Exotic Armor piece at a time. I really don't see the difference of people wearing a Full Exotic armor set, or Legendary, if they OHK me with a Wishbringer 5 times in a match. I have run Crucible with nothing but White gear and a Khvostov, and I still manage to get kills.

    Personally I wouldn’t mind at all if Bungie gave players the option to run two exotics on one side, if it meant giving up and exotic slot on another. In addition to lessening the Potency of both exotic weapons or armor. [u][b]For example:[/b][/u] If you decided to run both [u]Huckleberry[/u] & [u]Sunshot[/u], both of their exotic perks would have either a deduction on damage, or an overall perk lethality decrease. [u]Sunshot[/u] no longer chains explosions, & huckleberry loses a rampage stack which only takes it up to x2 instead of x3. [u]OR[/u] If you decide to run something like [u]Nezeric’s Sin[/u] & [u]Ophidian Aspects[/u]. Doing so would reduce the potency of both exotics by somewhere in the realm of 20-45%. I could see something like this being a possible mechanic..!

  • Imagine the horror of actium war rig, One-Eyed Mask, synthoceps, dunemarcher burning maul Titans. Or Crown of Tempests, Ophidian Aspect, Stormdancer’s brace, transversive steps top tree stormcaller. Or Hunters with Knucklehead Radar, Shinobu’s Vow, Raiden Flux and Stompeez. I think I’ve made my point as to why it’s a good thing exotics can’t be stacked.

[/quote] I’ll make and attempt to ease your concerns with a few ideas I have, in regards to the issue with potency & lethality (In PvP). Mind you; a lot of these ideas I have come at a flat decrease in overall performance, & don’t change depending on the combo of exotics you choose. Pairing two exotics of any kind on either side would result in the same decrease, specific to that exotic armor or weapon. Keep in mind that the options listed below are the only benefits these exotics receive, when paired with another exotics on the same side..! [u][b]Titan Exotics[/b][/u] • [u]Actium War Rig[/u] gets a reduction in it’s frequent ammo reloading benefits, By 30%. • [u]One Eyed Mask[/u] Only tracks an enemy when damaged. Tracking timer reduced by 50%. • [u]Synthocepts[/u] gets an overall melee lunge reduction, & damage reduction when surrounded. • [u]Dunemarchers[/u] no longer gains an increase to your sprint speed, & gets a reduction in chain lighting damage by 33%. [u][b]Warlock Exotics[/b][/u] • [u]Crown Of Tempest[/u] no longer extends the duration of Stormtranc. • [u]Ophidian Aspect[/u] gets no longer extends your melee distance. 25% reduction in ready & reload speed. • [u]Storm Dancers Brace[/u] gets a reduction in damage by 33% • [u]Transversive Steps[/u] no longer reloads your weapon upon sprinting. [b][u]Hunter Exotics [/u][/b] • [u]Knuckle Head Radar[/u] No longer receives an enhanced radar. • [u]Shinobu’s Vow[/u] only grants an additional grenade. • [u]Stomp-EE5[/u] Only improves sprint speed & Slide Distance. • [u]Raiden Flux[/u] Only receives an increase in Damage, upon landing rapid strikes. Would you support something along the lines of this?

  • Not really. The one exotic armor and one exotic weapon has not only been a staple of destiny since the very beginning, but also makes it so you have to make a choice. While simply doing what you said alleviates the previous concern, I still feel as though it’ll be too strong

  • but getting kills is not gonna be any easier than a OHK shotgun blast. follow? The point is nothing that you can do will prevent people from OHKing other players with weapons, while they try to legit shoot you with a full clip from a regular weapon. Using the "Exotic Limit" is a lame way of telling players, "Hey we had to control something, otherwise nobody would need legendary gear."
