...or with anything other than an even match. Can there not be a mechanism in place to hold the match unless it’s a 3v3. Getting blitzed because someone jumped out at the last second or MM just failed is really annoying. If there are less than six players in the “head to head” animation in the beginning everyone should be returned to queue.

1 ReplyYep exactly one more thing they need to do is remove 500 plus the points you lose already for losing the match if you leave or disconnect I'm already annoyed of people joins losing one round they quit I was at 5200 yesterday I went to 4700 because a teammate left the match 6 games in a row.

1 ReplyI should also not load into matches in progress for both Competetive and Quickplay, but here we are. Honestly though, I hope Bungie fixes these things.
-
Comps a pointless endeavor that will result in you getting better at a pointless activity and receiving a weapon that will inevitably be nerfed by a whiny community that -blam!- and cry’s about everything and usually can’t even get to 2100. I was going to get my NF this season and stopped midway because really what’s the point? It’ll get a further nerf eventually and playing against streamers, recovs and sweats gets old fast.
-
I feel like if a match starts 2v3. You should not lose any glory points and it definitely should not count against your win streaks.
-
22 RepliesComp should not match you against players that are top 1% while you are barely average
-
Super frustrating to get put into a comp match short a player. Most of the time it's just because someone got cold feet and decided to leave while flying into the match. I don't know of a solution to this problem except for tracking how much a person disconnects over time, and if they are repeat offenders, drop some kind of hammer on them.

Edited by Boomstick1911: 12/9/2019 11:07:21 PMI've always said that there should be an instant Mercy rule implemented for matches as opposed to any kind of join in progress. The same mentality should be in Comp games: Punish players that leave, and apply leniency to those that stay. Don't give the player whose team left a loss on their record; they should not be punished for the sake of deserters.
-
Had a match today that started as as 3v1. MM put 3 together.
-
I'd like to see more punitive measures placed against people who leave comp matches early, provided they can effectively identify the difference between a legitimate error code versus unplugging the ethernet cable. Certainly for simply leaving the activity. Maybe a temporary ban of 6-12 hours instead of 30 minutes after the second occurrence. A 30 minute ban isn't really anything, and incentivizes dishonorable players to continue being dishonorable.

Its more of a challenge, had our first game start like that last night, we won made us try harder.
-
I haven’t had a match start 2v3 all season.

3 RepliesIn Overwatch if someone leaves in the first minute or so of the game they cancel the game and nobody loses score. They should think about adding something like this
-
Still don’t understand how a game like Rocket league will cancel the match but Destiny can’t
-
5 RepliesOverwatch will end the match if a player Leaves at the start. I pray for this.
-
It doesn't. Someone leaves as it starts the game.
-
14 RepliesWhat I hate is how you can be on a 10 win streak then have 3 bad games and lose all of it
-
I still think that if they had a separate ranking system (ELO for example) from Glory points, they could easily just have matchmaking based on the rank, and award Glory points for top 2 spots regardless of winning or losing. Winning would grant more points, but if you stick out the match and perform decent, you should still make progress on Glory point based quests. Then it really wouldn't matter if your team quits and you end up getting squashed, your progress wouldn't be halted. And quitters should get -200 Glory points.

7 RepliesComp should not start if there is a 3 stack of hunters on the other team.
-
10 RepliesBeen there. Actually got a 2v3 win earlier this season. The matchmaking has always been trash, this is just another example
-
They'll never fix anything, they don't care.
-
Agreed but it won’t happen
-
6 RepliesYou just have to accept the fact that Bungie matchmaking system is not working well at all because there just arent enough players in these events to make a balanced match. It was designed on the expectation that the playerbase would remain high - which is not the case.
-
2 RepliesI remember a 2v3 game I once had back in D1. Enemy team got too cocky and rushed us constantly and died for it. Got salty messages afterwards.
-
Had a match where it started 3v3. By the time we flew into the planet 1 person left the game (as in turned off D2), so we started 2v3. That was the only time I played a match where it was less than 3v3.
