If it was an exotic ornament, it can only be applied to the specific exotic gauntlets that that ornament was made for. Exotic ornaments are not universal.
Edit: And looking at your collection, you haven't unlocked any exotic hunter armor yet, so that's an ornament that you can't use at all, at the moment.

You have to go to exotic collection and then to apearance to see if there is anything there
