Not the Recluse Change We Needed; Are You Happy With The Recluse Changes?

The internet is ablaze with talk of the recluse nerf. Recluse was an ease of use weapon with forgiving bodyshot damage with master of arms and a fast reload with feeding frenzy. Bungie nerfed Master of Arms when that was only a problem because you can afford to waste ammo and spray at enemies because feeding frenzy allowed a swift recovery. Replacing feeding frenzy with auto-loading holster would make players pace their shots and encourage the theme of master of arms: juggling your every weapon with, dare i say mastery. It would be a fun and satisfying flow that would take some time to get used to but would maintain power in both pvp and pve without being too strong in either. This proposed change would encourage a similar effect to that which will be implemented but maintains the pinnacle status of master of arms while maintaining the integrity of the intended used for the weapon.

  • There is just one last change I would suggest to make it balanced. Make MoA only proc off of other weapon kills. It adds a uniqueness to recluse, and it also maintains its powerful time to kill (which now requires headshots). And having it not proc off of itself means that you won't see those massive killing sprees with recluse as much, and it will then be used as it should be in the first place.
