Also the first few weeks people were moaning about not being able to upgrade armour. But Bungie has the long term plan that you can farm Nightfalls for materials.
This forum is mostly toxic children screaming that the world isn't fair before getting all the information.

I agree with your 1st paragraph, bungie has given more upgrade options as well as a clear way to farm them. Most of these forums only mean well for bungie, it's like tough love sort of thing. If they didn't care about bungie anymore, they wouldn't be posting. It's because bungie COULD do more that I think people on the forums are trying to force the ship.
