It's because of the size of the game combined with the slow hard drive inside that X-box of yours. I put D2 on an SSD drive for ShadowKeep and it's amazing the difference. Menus instantly pop, previews appear, weapons comps, etc...... It's not as fast as when I'm on PC but it's pretty close. Amazing what an SSD can do, however they can be a bit expensive so I realize this is not a solution for all.

Considering the prices, I'm not sure if it's worth it since my Xbone was bought about like 1-5 months after its release. Hasn't had any particular problems beyond the disk inserter behaving creepy af though.

I bought the cheapest SSD external HD (500 gigs) and put Destiny 2 and. Borderlands 3 on it and I can tell the difference. My wife plays next to me in our game room, and I load into activities 10 to 15 seconds faster. My menu screen barley lags if I have to do a quick weapon change. I'm on PS4 btw. I bought the SSD HD from Amazon.

Internal or external SSD? I'm on PS4 though.

I do have an SSD but that was for extra storage and I've only noticed a small difference nothing major, but I do load faster than people without. Are there any specifics to look for about SSDs?

I bought a Samsung Portable SSD T5 My kids had filled up the Xbox so rather than buy a slower external HD I decided to purchase the SSD drive. It's amazing how much faster it is for me.
