Try clearing the cache on chrome. The authentication being used in the Companion app is bringing up chrome to perform the link. Something in chrome may be the culprit here.

I had to use my work computer to sign in to reply to this because my phone will allow me sign in on the website via chrome , but to reply, the only options available are via the D2 app or Samsung Internet. Nowhere will it allow me to reply on chrome. For clarification, I can sign in to the bungie.net website via chrome, but cannot reply to you because it wants me to reply via d2 app or samsung internet. The d2 companion app, access denied.
