Perk Description: Consecutive headshot's on the same target buff the next bullet's damage by 5%. The buff disappears when the target is killed or the magazine is depleted. The next bullet will only be granted an additional compound interest buff if the target has previously hit by a compound interest bullet. Ie you are only granted compound interest X2(10% damage buff on the next bullet) if the target you shoot the next bullet at has been shot by a compound interest X1 bullet
The purpose of this perk is basically major/yellow bar killing as opposed to add clearing - the current PVE use for hand cannons. I feel like it would be a cool alternative to rampage/swashbuckler/multikill clip as a pve perk. The opportunity cost of using compound interest over rampage/swashbuckler would be the add clear potential ( due to compound interest disappearing when the target is killed). The advantage of this perk would be a unique use and playstyle for Hand Cannons. Rewarding precision with major killing potential. The use for it in crucible would be super killing
To avoid two tapping in crucible , simply tune the compound interest buff down to make it impossible to two tap a guardian while still giving it a place in super killing. It would also avoid the previous luna/nf problem by the mechanic of it only granting a damage buffed bullet on a target who has been head shotted by a previous buffed bullet
The potential god roll for a hand cannon would be : Rapid Hit + Compound Interest
What are you guys thoughts?

Please, no more hand cannons.
-
So pre nerf luna/nf
-
Fuxck off no more hand cannons
-
-blam!- off with all the hand cannons.
-
Just use Malfeasance
-
yeah we definitely need more Exotic & Pinnacle Handcannons, just keep'em coming Bungie
-
Sounds like worse og luna

Edited by Oolongvampire: 9/20/2019 7:19:28 AMThis is essentially a worse version of what Luna did prior to nerf. She literally had the best dps of any hand cannon by a country mile and now jack squat against anything but thrall.
-
A hand cannon again?
-
I would rather have a pve pinnacle sniper with a perk that increases crit damage after landing a crit. Have it stack 3x with 4 in the mag.
-
It's a nice idea but Destiny really doesn't need more emphasis on Hand Cannons, they've been the best weapons for way too long.
-
Screw hand cannons
-
Please no more hand cannons

Edited by fangfireskull: 9/19/2019 10:31:57 PMas someone taking pre-calc II right now, I would find it hilarious if it calculated damage by using the compound interest formula.
-
Or you could be like everyone else use the rampage kill a couple low enemies then peg the big guy, or kill clip reload go after big guy! Luna’s and not forgotten did that and they nerfed it!
-
I like this. It sounds sort of like Coldhardt in hand cannon form.
-
This could work as a Pinnacle weapon, or it could just be a change to Luna's Howl. A 10% increase in damage isnt going to up the pvp ttk on most handcannon, it just makes them more forgiving if it's a high enough damage buff.

Edited by neonsox42: 9/19/2019 5:46:09 PMNot bad. Here’s mine: Matador 65 - Kinetic SG (Crucible) - T0: Aggressive Frame - T1: Extended Barrel - T2: Accurized Rounds - T3: Threat Detector - T4: Seeing Red - This weapon grants increased mobility and reduces spread when threat detector is active. (1 stack = Shot Package and +1 agility, 2 stacks = shot package and +3 agility, 3 stacks = enhanced shot package and +6 agility.) Stats: - Impact: 80 - Range: 48 - Stability: 44 - Handling: 16 - Reload: 50 - Aim Assist: 40 - Recoil Direction: 40 - RPM: 55 - Mag Size: 5 - Reserves: 18 Wanted a weapon that rewarded you for diving enemies. This allows you to get more consistent kills the more enemies are around you. With 3 stacks of Threat Detector (5 people) your gun has basically 0 spread. It’s a play on how bulls hate red and nearby enemies show as red on your radar. Nimbus RL11 - Arc RL (Vanguard) - T0: Aggressive Frame - T1: Hard Launch - T2: Impact Casing - T3: Static Generator - This weapon’s rockets release lightning strikes on impact. The longer the Rocket travels, the more lightning bolts it spawns. (1 bolt to 20m, 1 storm grenade up to 40m, Increases from there by adding 1 storm grenade every 25m. Max of 240m. - T4: Ambitious Assassin Stats: - Blast Radius: 22 - Velocity: 96 - Stability: 52 - Handling: 24 - Reload: 67 - Aim Assist: 36 - Recoil Direction: 50 - RPM: 25 - Mag Size: 1 - Reserves: 7 Basically cluster bombs but on steroids. The benefit is strong as you get roughly 3x Damage uncapped, but designed to be a powerful launcher that can empty damage at long range and is more consistent against small targets than cluster bombs. Meant as an artillery weapon idea. Lead Crown - Void Sword (Gambit) - T0: Lightweight Frame - T1: Jagged Edge - T2: Swordsmaster Guard - T3: Assassin’s Blade - T4: Burden of Truth - Guarding after killing an enemy with your Dash Attack turns you invisible and marks all nearby enemies. (15m radius) Stats: - Swing Speed: 82 - Impact: 45 - Range: 28 - Efficiency: 60 - Defense: 42 - Capacity: 56 A weapon designed to emphasize the whole ninja concept. Even though. It’s a lightweight sword, it’s available for all classes. Meant as a way to get out of sticky situations, the guard is an ability that doesn’t see much use outside of stongholds on titans. Swordsmaster Guard Grants basically no resistance and burns through a lot of ammo on hit. The design was a utility option instead of guard. The invis is what makes the set. Marked targets are limited to 10 enemies within a max of 40m. This allows you to pivot easily.

i much preferred how lunas howl and nf used to be before the nerf, in pve.

Is this a 110, a 140/150, or a 180 Or is it custom rpm If 110 then it could potentially 2 tap low resilience guardians If 140 it’s pretty consistent in damage If 150 then people would probably prefer Luna’s howl or not forgotten but maybe could be good If 180 it would be good for quick hits but the magazine would have to be pretty large to get the most out of its perk You have a pretty good idea overall for a hand cannon and if possible could you give any info on its stats or usage

Sounds interesting
