They also need to Disable countdown theirs an Exploit where they restrict you from spawning when planting. I have the video of it happening along with the person admitting to do it. But if I post it it's called witch hunting. How can it be a witch hunt when they admit to do doing it and they always do it in recent matches.

  • Because it causes the accused to be harassed, and that’s not good in any case.

  • Where I see the issue is that no one sees the results. “We” can report all day but with no way for “us” to know if there was ever any action taken. So the community that plays the game for real feel that it is “ok” for us to be taken advantage of, cheated....what have you but yet “we” feel helpless and we can’t even call people out for being cheaters. I understand negative consequences for naming and shaming but at some point......the community needs to feel like “we” are being looked after. Right now it is clear that a lot of people don’t feel this. If someone is willing to claim the cheat through texts or video, that person should most definitely be NAMED AND SHAMED all day/week until Bungie settles the score....ban. Sorry but as long as it is ok for people to take advantage of others, game or real life, it WILL NEVER change.

  • Oh and I completely agree with you, but at the same time, it’s not about the public image of the person being shamed; it’s about their privacy and normal life. Sure, they’re cheating scum, but that does not justify subjecting them to harassment and verbal abuse - something I’m sure you understand as well as I is inevitable with public announcement.

  • Understand and truly do agree. Maybe a follow up to the people that reported them. Something that says “we received your complaint and are looking into it or have looked into it, actions are being taken Guardian. Thanx for your assistance” Without closure, we as people will get very negative and down right hostile. There should be some reassurance to calm the masses. That is all many people want because we all realize there is no real solution to the cheating.

  • If you watched the video of him admitting to it and how he talks to his own gf he deserves it.

  • Someone may deserve it but that doesn’t make it okay. I won’t use an example, but that is how it works; otherwise it’s too easy for someone who’s completely innocent to become the victim of harassment and abuse. We can’t make exceptions to the rules ourselves. I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m explaining why it doesn’t make a difference.

  • I know. But we’re more civil than that, and so we don’t need public shaming.

  • Already know Bungie won't do anything about. It's a shame.

  • That, however, is incorrect. Reports do work, I know that first hand. People I’ve reported before I have later seen here on the forum asking to be unbanned. Same with others too. If you let the system work, it works.

  • Ya pc cheaters that run cheat software not people who use exploits to win games.

Again, that is not correct. Most on the forums are, yes. Not every cheater shows up. Plenty of posts exposed by BNGSecurity state that the D2 application was specifically targeted. Edit: ...targeted by a known D2 cheat/hack program.

  • If it’s not against TOS, which exploiting to win games like you describe would be, then we’re looking at permanent restrictions from PVP and Gambit, not full account bans.

  • Gentleman, this is besides the point. An exploit is an exploit - live and let be. A denial of service transgresses many more layers and has repercussions beyond Destiny.
