Pls NEVER make another Mountaintop quest ever again
You have 2 options.
Fighting Lion, or Heavy.
You can't kill shit with FL. It's terrible.
You rarely get heavy with everyone clammering for it, or if your team is spawn trapped...youre not getting heavy.
Thats it. I play this game a lot, obviously. This is the most annoying quest to ever enter the realm of Destiny.
*ok I don't have and have never had a Militias Birthright because it will not drop for me...just like the 2 stupid guns I need for Wayfarer and the Osprey which too an insane amount of NFs to obtain 😒😭

I'm close to my mountaintop, i just need 45% more for multi kills, already hit fabled so i just gotta focus on that.

The only thing I dont like about the mountain top quest and revoker quest is all the snipers and grenade spammers you have to deal with in quick play. I can't decide whats worse all the glowing sniper scopes or all the grenade spamming.

You can atleast get two supers per match and make sure everytime you super you have some colony ammo and be patient, if your team manages to spawn trap enemy team thats probably your best bet on getting a multikill and also camp power ammo, no other way.

4 RepliesYou're joking. It's a PINNACLE weapon. It's meant to be hard to get. That is Until bungie nerfed the requirements so any scrub could get it. Stop whining and grind. Or give up. I hate that they have made it so easy now.

3 RepliesThe Revoker quest is the blueprint for future pinnacle weapons, in my opinion. Accessible, familiarizes you with the playstyle of said weapon, promotes more people playing comp, and not overly grindy. I'm absolute shite with snipers and avoid using them whenever possible but never felt shitty getting my kills or forced into a terrible playstyle as in the Mountaintop quest.

Oh man, I can't stand Fighting Lion in PvP. It's terrible. I HATE this lame mechanic where you release the trigger to detonate the grenade. It's obvious the Devs at Bungie never tested this thing where lag was present. It's not a lot of fun when I release the button and NOTHING happens. I can rarely get kills with it, unless I'm using Lunafaction Boots or I get lucky. And it sure ain't happening when it comes to multi-kills.

3 RepliesI used the scummy lunafaction Rift/well combo. It failed more often than not, but it was the most consistent way with fighting lion. It was painful and long, but not impossible.

3 RepliesI am totally okay whatever quest line they are introducing for any good weapon, HOWEVER, they should not lower the goals at all in any terms!! This started disturbing me a lot lately especially when I heard about nerfing mountain top quest. I had to gone through so many angry moments to get this weapon and now what... it got much much.. so much easier than when I was working on this quest.

I got all the kills with The Colony prior to the quest change. It took a lot of patience, but in the end my choice of weapon was fine. Unfortunately, the remainder of the quest requires reaching Fabled, so I am unable to complete it.

1 ReplyI understand the frustration, it was a pain to complete (and I did it legit, no kill lobby). Hopefully they use numbers like what the recent update changed it to. They overestimate the majority of the players and the obstacles these weapons make for the non-owners. On another note, it would cool if they gave the owners of the pre-adjusted quest an emblem for our troubles.

Completed mine there, switching between FL and Orewings which I preferred. But for a weapon as restricted as GL, its not really worth the risk. I'd rather run Sniper or Fusion for an almost guaranteed 1 shot kill. However I don't think the quest...After it was reduced to a more reasonable level, was too bad. The double kills were the most time consuming to achieve, but now it's done, I can almost certainly say I don't intend to use GL again.

It's not that bad. I'm not even good in pvp n it took me two weeks to get it when the quest dropped. Launchers are about swapping weapons so normally you'd need to swap to a hand cannon etc. for the cleanup but in this quest you use a hc first and then swap to the lion for the cleanup kill. There is a steep learning curve but a lion/hc combo has a faster ttk than any other non ohk weapon but any mistake is deadly.

2 Repliesorowings maul in secondary and militias birthright in primary at same time. use grenade scavenger perk on armor. you pick up 5 grenades per pickup...... use grenade reloader perk also ..... MAIN POINT ....also use P R O X I M I T Y GRENADES. you will finish the quest in a few days with that setup..... and YES you should use secondary weapon needing green ammo in BOTH SLOTS at the SAME TIME. and in the heavy slot use play of the game ...with ...you guessed it..... PROXIMITY GRENADES..... I figured all that out on my own as a sub par pvp player. if I CAN DO IT ....any one on the planet can
