Previous title: Today’s TWAB better be overflowing with exotic buffs
Like I said, it better have a giant list of exotic buffs coming in shadowkeep! That and news scout and auto rifles and maybe need on whether hand cannons are getting looked at on console!
For those who don’t know the TWAB normally drops around 5:30-6 central time
#trending:)
So after reading the TWAB, I think it sounds good. Not as many exotic buffs as I was thinking but it sounds good. And all the buffs to the different weapon archetypes sounds good also. I liked it
Question on hand cannons though. Did they say that bloom is being removed and the range in all hand cannons are being reduced? I couldn’t really tell

They’re goanna nerf headshot damage to compensate for increased body shot damage. Calling it now you won’t even be able to kill red bars with one shot to the head anymore (and scouts will be made even worse)
-
Today's TWAB, borderlands launches in 5 hours 😁
-
overall a nerf to damage and range sounds good? That and the slower time to get a super, and I;m already not enthused. Sounding like D1 to D2 and we all know how many players left during that 20 hrs Also removing content that i paid for, even if I never play that content? also not jazzed about.

"In this TWAB, Luke tells us how to put toothpaste back in the tube."

As for the hand cannon question: The range STAT is being nerfed. That means the stat will be less influential than it is now. So a low range hand cannon probably won't feel much different, but your max range Austringer is going to have a noticable range nerf. Think of it as diminishing returns on your range stat. The higher you go, the smaller marginal benefit you will see. They made no mention of changes to accuracy or bloom. But the recoil changes to 140/150 hand cannons is a defacto stability buff.

The twab was so misleading. They left out that everything is getting NERFED not buffed. They are nerfing precision damage by 50% so any buff presented was just there to confuse you. bungie is so good at lying. Everything is getting a net nerf. Don't believe anyone who says this twab was mostly buffs cause its not true.

Not impressed with the ricochet rounds nerf and scout nerf for minors. Will it take 3 shots now to take down a dreg 🤦♂️
-
Anyone else not impressed really? I mean, good on what is there, but it doesn't feel like a lot.

No. I will predict the future and post exactly what Luke Smith will type in his walls of text this week: The koala (Phascolarctos cinereus, or, inaccurately, koala bear[a]) is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. It is the only extant representative of the family Phascolarctidae and its closest living relatives are the wombats, which comprise the family Vombatidae. The koala is found in coastal areas of the mainland's eastern and southern regions, inhabiting Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. It is easily recognisable by its stout, tailless body and large head with round, fluffy ears and large, spoon-shaped nose. The koala has a body length of 60–85 cm (24–33 in) and weighs 4–15 kg (9–33 lb). Pelage colour ranges from silver grey to chocolate brown. Koalas from the northern populations are typically smaller and lighter in colour than their counterparts further south. These populations possibly are separate subspecies, but this is disputed. Koalas typically inhabit open eucalypt woodlands, and the leaves of these trees make up most of their diet. Because this eucalypt diet has limited nutritional and caloric content, koalas are largely sedentary and sleep up to 20 hours a day. They are asocial animals, and bonding exists only between mothers and dependent offspring. Adult males communicate with loud bellows that intimidate rivals and attract mates. Males mark their presence with secretions from scent glands located on their chests. Being marsupials, koalas give birth to underdeveloped young that crawl into their mothers' pouches, where they stay for the first six to seven months of their lives. These young koalas, known as joeys, are fully weaned around a year old. Koalas have few natural predators and parasites, but are threatened by various pathogens, such as Chlamydiaceae bacteria and the koala retrovirus, as well as by bushfires and droughts. Koalas were hunted by Indigenous Australians and depicted in myths and cave art for millennia. The first recorded encounter between a European and a koala was in 1798, and an image of the animal was published in 1810 by naturalist George Perry. Botanist Robert Brown wrote the first detailed scientific description of the koala in 1814, although his work remained unpublished for 180 years. Popular artist John Gould illustrated and described the koala, introducing the species to the general British public. Further details about the animal's biology were revealed in the 19th century by several English scientists. Because of its distinctive appearance, the koala is recognised worldwide as a symbol of Australia. Koalas are listed as Vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The animal was hunted heavily in the early 20th century for its fur, and large-scale cullings in Queensland resulted in a public outcry that initiated a movement to protect the species. Sanctuaries were established, and translocation efforts moved to new regions koalas whose habitat had become fragmented or reduced. The biggest threat to their existence is habitat destruction caused by agriculture and urbanisation. We are listening

It won't. Why would it? They're just compensating for the next raid boss's would be superbly easy death so that it gives that false sense of challenge people want.
-
Nothing happening to Cerberus+1? Pve wise, unless the auto buff helps it a lot... it still will be underused considering it will probably be weaker than most legendary smgs. Give it explosive rounds to make it a fireworks simulator? That would be fun.

I’m not a huge fan of the pulse meta that’s going to be coming to pvp, seeing as all pulses are already over ranged and creating mad flinch, now they’ll have a better ttk. Hopefully there will be a reduction in flinch or range coming as well to the boost in dmg. Let’s see

My theory is the weapon buffs are to counteract the super nerfs. More gunplay.

Edited by GalaxySpider: 9/13/2019 12:54:06 PMMuch hype for nothing. Are the buffs the result of feedback? I think not. If we look back at D1's major DLC drops (TKK, RoI) and even D2's (Forsaken), buffing weapons is a necessity for a simple reason: increased power for new activities. They have to buff nearly all weapon types because enemies getting stronger, have more health etc. Bungie always did that before the major DLc drops, even buffing guns no one asked for because you simply have to do it in order to balance out enemy health vs player damage (and to not leave archetypes behind). The buff were nice sure, but I wasn't surprised. I expected them. In the end, when Shadowkeep releases and we play higher power activities, we won't notice them anyway.

Edited by golgotha01: 9/13/2019 12:48:58 PMI feel like most of these changes should have been made a few weeks into forsaken. I'm grateful, dont get me wrong, but more timely responsiveness is expected in the future. The Didnt go far enough with some changes. Like machine guns only got a buff against trash adds, when they need a buff against majors and ultras (remember, the original nerf was 25 percent against majors and ultras) Linear fusions needed some love, so did rocket launchers.

Literally no pvp buffs or nerfs utter garbage
-
Sweet Business, baby!
-
Very happy with weapon buff but I not happy last week there no buff useless exotic gears
-
The TWABs have been overwhelmingly boring lately. We need a 'This Week At Trials' report (aka T.W.A.T.) to update the return of Trials of the Nine.
-
Okay but where is all the pvp weapon tuning? hopefully coming in the final patch
-
Just remove hc bloom ffs
