Destiny one trial not working xbox one
Hi all,
So while I wait for destiny 2 to release I decided to play me some old destiny 1. So I used to play on 360, but I no longer have my 360 lying around. I use the same account on xbox one, so I figured I'd get to play my old guardians. When I look in the store to buy destiny on xbox one, I find that there's only a free trial for the base game. I do some research and apprently the base game went free, great! thing is, when I try to play the demo it gives me the "do you already own this game or app?/insert game disc" error. Is this because it recognizes the fact that I played destiny on 360 with this account? do I need to buy a game disc of destiny for the xbox one to play it on xbox one?

Destiny is not free on the XB1. You can only by it as part of a pack now which contains the base game and all the dlc together from the XBL Marketplace. The free to play part was a limited time and long since ended and after that time you needed to buy the game to continue to play. You can not play the trial version due to it is just the demo and as such you have limited access to max level 5 characters and just the Cosmodrome area. Also while buying a disc will give you the base game and will import the year 1 dlc for free if you owned them on the 360 you will not have TTK as that is year 2 dlc and all Destiny game codes have long since expired and will not work anymore.
