Let me ask you how you plan on “earning” 60,000 bright dust to pay for this stuff JUST for Solstice. Forget that Shadowkeep is coming up in about a month. Or you can pay $130 for this stuff we used to earn in-game. Sure, nobody’s forcing us, right? This stuff is removed from the game and thrown in a vending machine, but I still have the choice to not buy it, so no big deal.

  • By playing the game. I have 3 characters, each gets me around 5-6 tess engrams a week and i break down all the shit she gives me. Also, i'm not in a rush to buy everything day 1. I have time, and by the time the event is over, i will have all the shit from it just from playing. You right, you can spend that if you want to, that's an option, but no one is forcing you to do that. If you choose that option, it was by choice.

  • 6 engrams will get you 3000 dust per week, max - if you have insane luck and get all exotic ghost shells for every package. More than likely you’ll get about 1000 dust from 6 engrams, though. The event lasts what, 4 weeks? So you’ll get about 4K glimmer. So, you can get a ghost shell, but forget about the glows, the emotes, and everything else. Or, last year you really would have gotten everything just from playing. The big picture is that this keeps getting worse, and if you think they’re done removing shit from the game to sell it to us in Eververse, the you’re naive. This will continue to get worse. If you really don’t get how this makes the game worse, then fine. I guess we’ll just agree to disagree. But, while I’m posting feedback to try to stop the game from getting worse, at least don’t speak up in favor of that bullshit. Enjoy your shell. You’ll really earn it in 4 weeks of playing.

  • Uh. You do realize that the changes to eververse in shadowkeep are probably going to include tweaks to prices, right? Your whole argument is seemingly based on the assumption that they are going to nerf bright dust rewards into the ground without ever adjusting prices to compensate. There is no proof that this will be the case.

  • Your comment is based on someone that hasn't played and has no items to dismantle it seems? Most players who have played for a few months would definitely have stuff to dismantle or bright dust from the bounties (which I am confused as to why people don't just pick them up). If I spent my brightdust on emotes that I liked, that's my own problem and I will have to play more to get more brightdust, just like if I used my materials to infuse. People found an exploit to farm materials for the triumphs or whatever, are they complaining about that? guessing not, I could, because I am not using the exploit, just as I didn't for the Wendigo, but that's once again, my choice, my problem.

lol I like how yo're just pulling numbers out the air. I'm sure i can get more than 3000 per week. How do i know? Cause just by playing the game, i've gotten enough bright dust to afford everything i've wanted and then some from tess. Yes, you could get them from drops, but you also had the options to purchase them with bright dust. I know, cause i did. No, the big picture is you and others are trying to find conspiracy theories in everything bungie does to the game you dont like. We have the option to use bright dust or real money for cosmetic things. If we didnt have the bright dust option or if it was really pay to win, yall would have a point, but it's not, so yall dont. I'm not speaking in favor of bullshit, i'm just speaking out against bullshit. Bright dust has never been an issue in the game, and it still isnt. Naw, i have enough bright dust right now to buy all the glows, and have plenty left over. This is after buying the tributes for the hall as well. How did i get so much? Just playing the game. Also, you still havent explained how they are forcing us to spend money for optional things?

  • I just wish they kept the seasonal/event engrams, cause I don't really play enough to earn the bright dust I need to get this stuff. Spent some silver on that tiny sparrow though, that thing is straight 🔥

  • That i understand and agree with. I think we didnt get those cause 1) we're at the end of the pass; 2) the y1 engrams fit the theme of calus giving us old stuff with his touch on it. This season is about getting fat on old stuff for the most part. I do think those engrams will be coming back when we start the new dlc year in sept. Glad you enjoy the tiny sparrow, cant wait to get it myself.

  • Guys, you've spent $150 for TWO YEARS of content, there's no ad revenue, there's no required purchases, there's no monthly fee. There's no money in it for bungie after your initial game purchase, imagine stretching $60 for an entire year. Good fun content and constant updates doesnt come cheap boys. You have to take a second and realize that just because you bought a game and someone offers you a completely optional completely meaningless thing for money that it's not a slap in the face for you. Bungie is a company that is running their own show now, offering you a glowy armor accessory for $10 is them giving you an even exchange in value, it's extremely cool for the player and worth buying, and they can pay their bills and fund fun future content for you. No one is attacking you, no one at bungie hates you or doesnt understand your plight in the day to day, bungie even offers it for 5k bright dust, but YEARS of content for $150 when 2 movie tickets for an hour and a half of content is 20 bucks.
