Let’s talk about comp.

As the sandbox team is slowly making destiny better with their updates, the crucible team still hasn’t figured out simple matchmaking issues. If bungie is reading this at all, here’s what’s happening. ISSUE: 4 stacks. As a solo player, grinding comp is near to impossible when it’s filled with 4 stacks. It’s unfair when one team is filled with randoms and the other one is well coordinated since they’re premade. FIX: Make a separate solo queue, just like all mobas do. Idc how long I have to wait in queue but I’d rather do that than face 4 sweats ISSUE: 1v4, 2v4, 3v4. This is a competitive mode for -blam!-s sake. Having these games shouldn’t be accepted at all. There’s no way in hell a team with 2 players are going to win against 4. And what do they do? Just sit and wait out all rounds of the game since they can’t do shit anyway. (Went into a 3 game streak where all of them were 3v4’s. The 3’s being my team obviously) FIX: Give an option within the first minute for players to leave the game without penalty if they’re missing a team member or someone left at the beginning. I know there are a shit ton of problems in the crucible but this is what ticks me off the most. Playing comp has given me a tumor.

  • 4 stack teams doesn´t mean, that they will have an auto-win. I played most of my comp games solo and i am at 1914 Points right now (if i win my next game, i would be at 2100+ with the next weekly reset). Of course, you need to get lucky, with youre teammates. I had a game last weekend, where i played a 4 man team on The Burnout. Those players weren't really good and we could have won against them, if everyone would have known, what to do. But, unfortunately, my teammates where just feeding and we lost. Nothing i could have done ... Play safe, watch, what your teammates are doing and addept to them. This is the best thing, you can do as a solo player. My little tip isn´t really one: Play a loadout, wich suits you the best I see a lot of players, playing the meta, but they can´t bring out the best out of it. That includes myself. I am not really good with the Luna, or a shotgun. I don´t land my headshots with Luna and with the shotgun, i am trading most of the time. That does not help my team. So, my go-to loadout these days is a PvP-God-Roll Duke Mk. 44 (Opening Shot, Ricochet Rounds and Kill Clip; range mastercraft) and an Erentil FR4. I´m playing these on my Titan with One Eyed Mask (it´s comp, so it is ok - and i call myself a Hunter-Main XD). I am a lot more comfortable with these weapons, than with Luna/Dust Rock. Especially the Erentil does some phanomenal work in Comp! The Duke is not really good in 1v1 situations, when it comes to Comp. But, to support your teammates in their fights, it does some work. (Beware of Kill-Clip. It will become a Two-Tap God) Oh, and don´t rage. This is something, that hurts my game the most. Now, i am playing 2-3 games of Comp, before going back to Quickplay. I am not forcing myself to do comp all the time.
