It’s nice that Activision will be out of the picture soon, but tbh I don’t think the Destiny series has much potential anymore.
This is not the Bungie that made Halo, this Bungie has only known corporate greed since the beginning of their partnership with Activision, and I expect that is what we‘ll see in the future.
I already know I’m gonna get some Bungie diehard backlash, but it’s whatever. I’d love to see Bungie prove me wrong, I just don’t see it happening. Btw I really love how vague Luke Smith‘s posts about Destiny‘s future are.
Once again, please do prove me wrong Bungie.

I know Bungie since Oni: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGya1_ktUEY And have an OG Xbox https://i.pinimg.com/736x/75/19/95/751995c20148ad3ebec57ad1b9a1a412.jpg IMHO they made a great game without allowing to be hijacked by the finance department. Selling games actually doesn't pay as well as 'other' ways of bringing in revenue. If there's one decent developer it's Bungie. I think Destiny 3 will be great as it won't be influenced by the whole loot box saga of scandals now that every country is banning them.

1 ReplyYeah, all the best and/or smartest people left before or during development of Destiny. The Bungie now is almost in no way the same Bungie that made Halo. If people ever expected the same quality in storytelling or PvP balance that Halo had, that's on them, honestly. I can't see this ending up with something good for the franchise when it isn't even the Bungie people once knew and loved.

I wont have confidence in Bungie until they release something good, but I do want to see these games that keep getting rebooted. Destiny 1 with it's complete overhaul before release and Destiny 2 reboot because the game direction wouldn't have allowed them to spit out crappy highly monetized content fast enough. What were these Bungie? What did you want us to play? Will we get to see now that the boot is off your back?

Yep, I’ve been salty for a long time, I would love to see bingo prove us both wrong, but as we both know all the real game developers left or were fired after Activision came in, now all that’s left are the yes men employed by Activision, how can they possibly create anything!
